    Chapter 375 – Clone Magic

Speaking of the Magical Feast reminded Mo Lan of another magic she desperately wanted but had never found a way to learn—the Headmistress’s clone magic.

Every time she had asked before, Madam Amisha would say she’d tell them at graduation.

Surely it was finally time now?

She looked toward Madam Amisha at the head of the table:

“Headmistress, we’re about to graduate. Isn’t it time you told us how to learn clone magic?”

The other young witches all turned to look at Madam Amisha when they heard this.

They had been curious for a long time too.

Every time they ran out of time or couldn’t finish everything they needed to do, they desperately wished they had this magic.

“My clones aren’t created through magic,” Amisha said, picking up her wine glass and taking a sip.

“Not magic?” Mo Lan was somewhat disappointed.

If it wasn’t magic, that meant it wasn’t something anyone could learn or possess.

“The clone ability comes from a wondrous artifact that shares the same origin as the Witch Academy’s demiplane—the Headmistress’s Golden Chalice.

As long as one holds the position of Witch Academy Headmistress, they have the right to use this artifact, until they step down.

If you’re interested in the clone ability, then study hard at Witch Magic! As long as all your Witch Magic elements are at Intermediate level or above, you’ve read all the required reading for young witches, and your own rank has reached Peak level, you can submit an application to the Witch Council to become a Headmistress candidate!

If there’s only one applicant at any given time, that applicant automatically receives the Headmistress position.”

After finishing, Amisha looked at Mo Lan expectantly. “You already qualify to apply for Headmistress, don’t you? The clone ability is really useful! When are you planning to apply?”

Looking at how eager Madam Amisha was to step down, Mo Lan felt a momentary impulse, but quickly realized something was off.

Although being Headmistress would be wonderful—she could use clones for teaching young witches, protecting young witches, and studying magic, while her real body just had to enjoy life.

But during all these years as Headmistress, Madam Amisha’s real body had probably never been to the Well of the Sky, or even left the Wilds, right?

It surely wasn’t because Madam Amisha didn’t want to go, so there was only one possibility. “Once you become Headmistress, you can’t leave the Wilds, can you?”

    Madam Amisha nodded.

“Then you’ll have to wait a bit longer, Headmistress,” Mo Lan said.

Not to mention waiting until after she saved Earth—at the very least, she needed to accumulate more magic to study first.

The clone ability that came with the Witch Academy Headmistress position was perfectly suited for practicing magic.

If she wasn’t considering using the clones to practice magic and rapidly increase her magic levels, then the position would only be suitable to take on when everything was settled and she was ready to retire.

“Alright then!” Amisha wasn’t disappointed either.

When she had applied for the Headmistress position, she had already anticipated this situation.

Until the next Headmistress candidate appeared, she had no way to step down.

A coin pouch appeared in her hand and floated toward Mo Lan. “This is your reward for submitting 《Teleportation Defense Application Techniques》.”

Mo Lan opened the pouch. Inside were 1 Red Gold Coin and 15 Purple Gold Coins.

As expected, researching and creating new magical knowledge was the most profitable endeavor.

She took out a spatial coin pouch and put all the magic coins inside.

In the pouch, there was already a small pile of red coins, a heap of purple-gold coins, and a large pile of gold coins.

It had been a while since she last counted. She did a quick tally—27 Red Gold Coins, 321 Purple Gold Coins, and 1,578 Magic Gold Coins.

Only a small portion came from exam rewards. The rest were all rewards from the Witch Council for the various books she had submitted to them.

This many magic coins would take an ordinary Peak level witch hundreds of years to accumulate.

Yet she already possessed them before even graduating. Apart from this latest 《Teleportation Defense Application Techniques》 which relied on her own work, everything else was thanks to the memories of Earth’s civilization.

Earth truly was her greatest cheat since reincarnating.

“Moira, you published a new book? 《Teleportation Defense Application Techniques》? Is it about Teleportation?” Sylph asked curiously. “I don’t think I’ve seen it in the library yet?”

Mo Lan nodded. “They probably haven’t had time to make copies with the Transcription Spell yet. If you and Vasida want to study it, you can look at my manuscript first.”

In their entire year, only the three of them—all Sorceresses—had sufficient Spatial Magic aptitude to learn Teleportation.

Vasida very much wanted to see what new thing Mo Lan had come up with right away, but she was busy eating at the moment. She asked Madam Amisha worriedly:

“Headmistress, is this Magical Feast really unlimited?”

“Unlimited! Every young witch eats until she’s full!” Amisha said. “But don’t dawdle and eat too slowly either, or you’ll delay the graduation ceremony!”

    “Got it!” Vasida said happily.

She didn’t have to worry about going hungry while reading Mo Lan’s manuscript.

Vasida and Sylph looked over Mo Lan’s manuscript on Teleportation defense application techniques together.

“Moira, how did you come up with this?” Vasida asked. “Who would think of using Teleportation to intercept attacks?!”

Mo Lan pointed at the little monkey sitting on her lap, hugging a bottle of wine with a straw stuck in it. “I got the inspiration from Zhizhi.”

    Zhizhi: (°°)?

“Hahaha! Zhizhi is so cute!” Sylph pulled out a section of wine bamboo. “Zhizhi, this one’s for you!”

Zhizhi leaned over and sniffed it. “()!”

“Looks like I’ll need to grow some wine bamboo for it,” Mo Lan said. “From the way it’s acting, it really loves the stuff!”

    Zhizhi nodded frantically.

In this world, no matter what kind of wine it was, she only needed a small sample for the Book of Cards to analyze, and then she could use Mana to create a corresponding wine card.

But wine bamboo was the sole exception—it involved Sylph’s Sorceress Magic, and since Sorceress Magic was connected to the laws of nature, she couldn’t directly create a corresponding card.

But that was fine. She could just make a larger Spatial Planting Pot Card and grow some wine bamboo in it.

Sylph’s mutant plants were all very easy to cultivate as long as you had the corresponding Hybrid Magic.

True to the Headmistress’s word, this Magical Feast had no time limit.

But the young witches didn’t actually eat until they were stuffed before stopping. They were about to leave the Academy, and the Wilds weren’t absolutely safe—overeating would affect their spellcasting.

Once the other young witches were full, Vasida didn’t want to keep everyone waiting for her alone. She held up the Devouring Stomach, lifted a plate, and dumped the contents straight in.

One plate went in, and a new one appeared.

“Today’s your lucky day,” Vasida said to it.

The Devouring Stomach, which normally ate various garbage scraps every day: “…”

Vasida walked from one end of the long table to the other, then circled back, making several rounds before the Devouring Stomach was finally full.

“If I’d known there would be a Magical Feast tonight, I wouldn’t have made you suffer through all that Breadfruit during the day!”

Amisha’s face darkened, and she swiftly dismissed the Magical Feast.
