Chapter Index

“Phew—” Zhizhi dramatically wiped away nonexistent sweat. “Master, you’re really too popular now! Zhee!”

Mo Lan also breathed a sigh of relief. “I really didn’t expect I’d have so many admirers!”

She had just used mind-reading magic to check the people who came for autographs—they all genuinely admired her. She had originally thought that since her cards were sold at such high prices to other races, everyone would scold her as the “Goblin Sorceress” upon seeing her!

“Alright, now let me have a tour, Boss Zhizhi?” Mo Lan said to Zhizhi with a smile, pulling her attention back to the boarding house itself.

“No problem! Leave it to me!” Zhizhi immediately rallied, puffed out its chest, and assumed the role of a professional guide.

It first led Mo Lan through the familiar resting area.

The space had been divided into individual compartments of varying sizes, lined with soft hay or velvet, each decorated to suit the habits of different familiars.

Some compartments even contained spatial planting pots with plants growing inside to simulate natural environments.

Several temporarily boarded familiars were resting or playing quietly inside. When they saw Zhizhi and a stranger enter, they merely glanced over curiously without showing any alarm—clearly very well-adapted to and trusting of this environment.

Next was the activity area, much larger than the reception hall, filled with various climbing frames, tunnels, and hanging nets and light vines for flying familiars to perch on.

Obstacle courses were also set up in the air. Apparently, a “Familiar Sports Meet” was held here every month.

“This is the meal preparation room,” Zhizhi said, pushing open a small door. Inside, there were no magical stove appliances or ingredient cabinets—only a bookshelf. “All meals are prepared directly using gourmet cards. This is really just an archive room for recording each familiar’s dietary preferences.”

Finally, with a touch of pride, Zhizhi pushed open a door bearing a sign that read “Learning Class Classroom.”

Inside were several rows of desks and chairs of different shapes, along with a small blackboard maintained by Magic to keep its writing clear.

“Look! This is our ‘Familiar Learning Class’ classroom!” Zhizhi introduced. “We teach them some basic Common Script characters and common knowledge about human life! Spark is one of our outstanding graduates!”

After the tour, Mo Lan could only marvel at how clever Zhizhi was. “You’ve all done such an amazing job—even if I were running things, I couldn’t have done better!”

If she hadn’t been running low on her disposable Mana reserves, she would have wanted to pull out a mirror space card to use as the venue for the Mo-Zhi-Ka-Sen Familiar Boarding House.

That would certainly provide a much better environment than expanding the interior space of a tent.

After a brief stay at the Familiar Boarding House and entrusting Clack with the task of trying Iris’s new dish “Rot Sac Stew,” Mo Lan headed straight back to the Witch’s home mirror space.

Standing before the magical clock by the cabin door, the clock face now displayed three clear icons in addition to the baseline marker representing “home”: the lakeside cabin, her personal tent, and the Mo-Zhi-Ka-Sen Familiar Boarding House.

These three locations formed her initial teleportation network in the world of Valen.

But this was only the beginning.

Mo Lan had a far grander blueprint in mind.

She hoped to set up spatial coordinates and establish teleportation channels at more key and representative locations across the world of Valen.

The Land of Chaos, the Black Forest, Holy City on Heaven’s Peak, the Elven Woods, Durin Volcano, the Beastmen grasslands, the Dragon’s Delicacy Island, the Merfolk waters, the Mage Empire, the Yala Empire, the Underground world…

She would find a suitable spot in each of these places, record the spatial coordinates, and set up teleportation channel exits.

This way, her Witch’s home would truly achieve the vision of “opening a door to reach anywhere in the world,” fulfilling her original concept of a mobile Witch’s home.

It just so happened that she was planning to hold a Witch’s home completion party on the next full moon. Her Witch friends were scattered across the world, and aside from those permanently residing in the Witch’s Wilds, she intended to deliver invitations to each of them in person.

This way, she could both show her sincerity and take the opportunity to scout locations, purchasing or building suitable properties to house those crucial teleportation gate exits.

And her first stop, without a doubt, was the Land of Chaos—to find Mama Shanna!

Mo Lan’s eyes sparkled with anticipation.

By her count, she hadn’t seen her mother in many years.

She quickly packed her things and prepared some specialty cards from the Three Thousand Mirror Ruins World as gifts.

These gifts, brimming with otherworldly charm, were sure to delight Mama Shanna.

Although the magical clock didn’t yet have a direct teleportation channel to the Land of Chaos—making “open door, instant arrival” impossible—this didn’t stop Mo Lan from using Long-Range Teleportation to get there directly.

“Lava Avenue in the City of Chaos,” the address Mama Shanna had left, was a very old street, and the Witch’s Spatial Magic book 《Valen Spatial Coordinates (Latest Revised Edition)》 contained precise spatial coordinates for it.

Recalling her earlier experience of being recognized and “mobbed” by Explorers at the Familiar Boarding House, Mo Lan decided it would be best to keep a low profile.

She took out a bottle of transformation potion and tilted her head back to drink it down.

As the potion took effect, her appearance began to change, ultimately transforming into the black-haired, dark-eyed look she had on Earth.

“Mm, this way I shouldn’t attract too much attention.” Mo Lan checked herself in the mirror and nodded with satisfaction.

Once fully prepared, she took a deep breath, focused her mind, and began channeling her Mana to cast Teleportation.

Powerful spatial power enveloped her, and in the next instant, her figure vanished from the peaceful serenity of the Witch’s home.

The City of Chaos—a city renowned for its disorder, vitality, worship of strength, and opportunism.

When Mo Lan’s feet touched the rough, slightly scorching surface of Lava Avenue, with its mingled smell of sulfur, sweat, and roasting meat, a massive wall of sound instantly engulfed her.

The streets were bustling, packed with people of every race.

Dark-skinned, powerfully muscled tiger Beastmen strode past carrying massive battle-axes; stocky Dwarves with thick beards hammered away at glowing-hot iron billets, sending sparks flying in all directions; there were even figures from Underground world races visible in the crowd.

Most wore heavy plate armor or light leather armor, bore scars on their bodies, and had eyes full of wariness. Some still carried the fatigue and excitement of recently concluded battles.

A primal, martial energy permeated the air.

Pure spellcasters were a rare sight here. The occasional robed figure could be spotted with a dagger tucked at the waist, clearly possessing some close-combat capability as well.

Amid this district saturated with masculine and savage energy stood an elegant, tranquil three-story building—as incongruous as a flower blooming in the desert.

The building’s exterior walls were a soft, warm yellow that contrasted with the dark tones of the street. Its windows were clean and bright, and a modest wooden sign hung by the door, inscribed in flowing cursive script: “Mind Healing House.” Below it, in smaller text, read “77 Lava Avenue.”
