Chapter Index

Everyone discussed enthusiastically, continuously filling in one detail after another and plugging potential loopholes. Mo Lan’s original concept, nourished by the collective wisdom of the group, was rapidly growing into a rigorous and comprehensive plan.

“Moira,” Anita swallowed the delicacy in her mouth and leaned over to ask, “how many slots are you planning to offer for trading Seran world invitations with Advanced Explorers from other races?”

“Five, tentatively.” Mo Lan had already considered this question. “With my current Mana, I can simultaneously support one hundred and five Explorers borrowing power to fight the Dao Ancestor. After setting aside slots for our own Witches, there are still three extra slots.

    But the situation has changed.”

She looked toward Lilith, Sylph, and Vasida, then nodded in acknowledgment to Traci, Carmela, and Anita.

“First, the Sorceresses’ Sorceress Magic is truly unique. You only need to list cards crafted with your respective Sorceress Magic in the Card Shops of the sixteen worlds I’ve already developed. The disposable Mana earned should be more than enough to cover your own operational needs, so there’s no need to borrow disposable Mana from me.

More importantly, Senior Anita, your Firework Blast is tremendously powerful and incredibly efficient at resolving battles. Over the course of a single operation, it will save a huge amount of overall Mana consumption.

All things considered, squeezing out five trading slots is more than feasible.

We can even set aside a portion of Mana as reserve resources to handle unexpected situations.

As for the extra invitations we trade for — if anyone needs them, you’re welcome to trade with me!”

“Five slots…” Traci pondered for a moment before speaking first, her tone steady and composed. “I’ll handle the contact with the Elf race. I have some personal connections with the current Elf Queen, Eliana. She’s a visionary leader who has always been open to new knowledge that can strengthen her people. This trade should pique her interest.”

“Then leave the Dragons to me!” Anita immediately chimed in with excitement, a combative gleam flashing in her eyes. “I can sense that Meridis’s presence is right there on Dragon Isle — she’s definitely in Valen! Perfect chance to go find her and stretch my limbs a bit, and while I’m at it, ask if she has any Realm-friend invitations for the Seran world. With her competitive nature, there’s no way she’d pass up a chance to rapidly increase her strength. As one of the leaders who led the Dragons during their migration, her word carries plenty of weight within the clan.”

Carmela gave a slight nod and analyzed coolly, “The Angel and Demon races should be set aside for now, given their complicated internal situations. Other races may not necessarily possess the Realm-friend invitations we need either. For the time being, concentrating our efforts on engaging with the Elves and Dragons is the optimal choice. We’ll make contact with them first, then discuss further steps based on their offers and conditions.”

“Then we’ll be waiting for good news from our seniors!” Mo Lan said happily.

She had actually been worrying about where to find Advanced Explorers from other races! Back when these people were active in Valen, she hadn’t even been born yet.

The Sorceress seniors’ network of connections was something she simply couldn’t compare to. Leaving this matter to them, Mo Lan felt completely at ease.

Traci had Queen Eliana as a friend on her Communication Card, so she pulled out the card on the spot and began making contact.

【Traci: Eliana, we’ve recently discovered a star region involving numerous worlds that can be rescued. We’re currently preparing to assemble forces for exploration. Here’s the general plan… We have five surplus slots available for external trading. Would the Elf race be interested in participating?】

Queen Eliana’s reply came astonishingly fast.

【Eliana: Thank you for letting me know! The Elf race is of course interested in participating. Please speak plainly — what would it take to secure all five slots for us?】

Traci smiled slightly upon seeing the reply and was about to follow the original plan, proposing to exchange the slots for Realm-friend invitations to the Seran world. She generously displayed the chat contents for everyone to see. When Mo Lan saw this, she immediately spoke up: “Senior Traci, please wait! Don’t just say ‘Realm-friend invitation’ — make sure to specify ‘Permanent Realm-friend Invitation’!”

Traci’s fingers paused, and she glanced at Mo Lan with a hint of puzzlement.

The difference between a Permanent Realm-friend Invitation and a time-limited Realm-friend invitation was merely a matter of usage period — the former could be used at any time, while the latter had to be used before its expiration date.

But the two differed greatly in rarity and value.

During their earlier discussion, they had agreed that any Realm-friend invitation would suffice.

Mo Lan quickly explained, “That’s how negotiation works — we open with our highest asking price. If the Elf Queen feels that Permanent invitations are too costly, she’ll naturally propose substituting time-limited ones, or offer some other form of compensation. This way, we not only seize the initiative in negotiations but also leave ourselves room to bargain. If we start by asking for time-limited invitations, then we’ll have no room to fall back on later and can only be passive.”

Although she felt that whether permanent or time-limited, neither would affect her own use, if possible, she naturally still wanted to obtain more Permanent Realm-friend Invitations to Advanced worlds.

Opportunities to explore Advanced worlds were rare. She herself didn’t need this many, but she could leave them for other Witches — the Witch race was sorely lacking in this kind of foundational resource!

Traci understood her reasoning. When it came to business acumen, all the Witches combined couldn’t match Mo Lan alone — after all, she was the one who had single-handedly led the entire Witch race to prosperity.

She readily amended the message she was about to send, following Mo Lan’s suggestion: “One Permanent Realm-friend Invitation to the Seran world in exchange for one participation slot.”

After the message was sent, the other side fell into a brief silence.

When the Elf race migrated, they had indeed brought a world invitation token for the Seran world.

But this token could only produce one Permanent Realm-friend Invitation every five hundred years, and one time-limited Realm-friend invitation with a five-hundred-year validity every one hundred years. The remaining ordinary invitations were practically useless.

The Elf race currently had only two Permanent Realm-friend Invitations in stock. Since the end of their internal strife, talented individuals had been emerging in droves within the clan, so they absolutely had to keep one in reserve for emergencies. At most, they could trade away one. As for time-limited Realm-friend invitations, they did have several in stock. The younger generation still needed time to grow, and no one had use for them at the moment, so trading those away wouldn’t be a problem.

【Eliana: Our reserves of Permanent Realm-friend Invitations are truly limited. Would time-limited Realm-friend invitations be acceptable instead? I have time-limited Realm-friend invitations with a validity period of up to four hundred and fifty years. As long as they’re used before expiration, there’s essentially no difference from permanent ones.】

Seeing the reply, Traci looked toward Mo Lan.

Mo Lan asked Traci what kind of person Queen Eliana was.

“Her? Open-minded, decisive, and sharp in a way that’s almost un-Elf-like! And yet, just like all Elves, she’s honest, kind-hearted, and loves nature!” Traci said.

Mo Lan had a clear picture now. “Then please reply to her like this…”
