Chapter Index

Three days later, the Starsea Ark completed its final spatial jump, hovering silently in the void. The Immortal Realm, connected to countless dark-gold ascension channels, appeared on the control display in the command center.

Even across the vast distance, one could feel the grandeur and oppressive pressure of the Immortal Realm.

Inside the mirror space, on the green mossy grassland, Mo Lan was conducting a “pre-mission briefing” for everyone.

“Everyone, look—once you activate the card, it will automatically scan the spatial stability of the surrounding area.” Mo Lan held a Signal Amplifier card in her hand, its surface emitting a soft glow. “When the glow stabilizes into a steady, faint shimmer, that means it’s found a suitable anchor point. Then, like this—”

She gently released the card upward at an angle. The card itself seemed to melt into the air, replaced by a multifaceted prism constructed of silver metal and transparent crystal-like material.

“After that, it will automatically conceal itself. When placing them, try to choose areas with relatively stable space and no obvious energy turbulence.”

Having finished her explanation, Mo Lan looked at everyone. “Is that all clear?”

Everyone nodded in turn, each taking the Signal Amplifier cards in their hands and practicing repeatedly.

Just then, Zhizhi suddenly teleported to Mo Lan’s side, tugged at the hem of her robe, and looked up. “Master, Clack says we’ve stabilized at the predetermined coordinates.”

“Good, thank you for the hard work.” Mo Lan patted its head, then turned to address everyone, raising her voice slightly. “Everyone, we’ve arrived near the Immortal Realm.”

She raised her hand, tracing patterns in the air with her fingertip.

In the next moment, a massive, crystal-clear projection unfurled in the sky above the center of the grassland.

It was a real-time image transmitted from the Starsea Ark’s detection system.

At the center of the projection, connected to countless pillars of dark-gold energy, was the Immortal Realm.

“What lies ahead is your ‘battlefield’!”

Mo Lan pointed at the dark-gold energy pillars on the projection. “Each ascension channel leads to a Spirit Realm and multiple cultivation worlds whose origin is being plundered by the Immortal Realm.

Next, please each select a direction as your initial exploration route. Before setting out, remember to use the Magic Card — Fortune-Telling Spell to divine the auspiciousness of your path.”

Everyone’s gaze was fixed on the enormous projection, their expressions focused and sharp.

The experienced Explorers quickly assessed the energy intensity, stability, and potential danger levels of the different channels. The selection process didn’t take long. Soon, each person had determined their first target.

“I’m sure you all know what to do next. Then—let’s move out!”

As she spoke, Mo Lan’s figure flickered and she returned to the command center within the mirror space. Using the Starsea Ark, she deployed a Signal Amplifier card at their current anchorage point.

Everyone would be departing from here, making this Signal Amplifier the initial node of the communication network.

At the same time, she didn’t forget to place a Signal Amplifier inside the mirror space’s boundary membrane. This one would move along with the Starsea Skiff, also serving to strengthen the signal.

The others sprang into action immediately.

On the grassland, elegant mobile dwellings, ornate tents, gleaming golden houses, and even that ruby-red dragonbreath curtain were all swiftly stowed away by their owners.

Everyone returned to their own vessels through temporary teleportation gates.

Mo Lan opened the Signal Network Management Card. The light points representing the two Signal Amplifiers she had just placed appeared on the display.

Soon, a third and fourth light point lit up in succession—others had successfully placed Signal Amplifiers on their own travel vessels.

Each mobile node was not only a signal terminal but would also automatically serve as a signal relay once it remained stationary long enough.

In the “Immortal Realm Expedition” group chat:

【Moira: Everyone, the Immortal Realm Expedition is officially underway! Please proceed into the void in an orderly fashion and follow the predetermined plan, exploring along your chosen ascension channels. Along the way, please make sure to place a Signal Amplifier at every safe interval within communication range to expand our network. Stay in contact and report any developments promptly.】

    【Cecilia: Roger!】

    【Lilith: Understood!】

    【Vasida: Moving out!】

    【Anita: Taking the lead!】

    ……

Within the mirror space’s boundary membrane, the cosmic travel vessels that had been floating silently for years stirred to life like beasts unleashed from their bonds. They transformed into streaks of multicolored light, passing through the mirror space’s boundary membrane in orderly yet breathtakingly swift succession before plunging into the void.

In the blink of an eye, the previously somewhat crowded interior of the mirror space’s boundary membrane became empty and spacious.

Mo Lan’s gaze fell on the control display. After separating from the mirror space, her companions’ vessels quickly activated stealth mode, rapidly fading from the screen until they became nearly impossible to track.

However, on the Signal Network Management Card’s display, the scene was quite different.

The two stable light points near the Starsea Ark shone like beacons, while the hundred-plus light points representing the Signal Amplifiers aboard each participant’s vessel—initially clustered almost on top of one another—were now rapidly spreading and branching outward along the different ascension channels toward distant reaches.

Just then, Mo Lan noticed that Traci’s vessel hadn’t immediately headed along an ascension channel like the others. Instead, it had paused briefly at a position near the Immortal Realm’s boundary membrane.

A few minutes later, Traci’s calm analysis appeared in the “Immortal Realm Expedition” group chat:

【Traci: Based on calculations of the Immortal Realm’s current energy intensity, it can produce at most nine more Dao Ancestor realm cultivators. Beyond that number, the world’s level will decline, and it will no longer be able to sustain Dao Ancestor realm cultivators casting spells.】

【Moira: Received. Originally, twelve Dao Ancestor realm cultivators still existed within the Immortal Realm itself. Everyone, please exercise extreme caution and keep communication channels open at all times.】

After sending this reminder, Mo Lan withdrew her gaze and called out softly, “Clack! Let’s go too!”

The soul fire in Clack’s eye sockets flickered faintly. Its bony, articulated fingers had long been hovering over the control buttons, and upon hearing the command, it immediately executed the departure sequence.

The Starsea Ark, in stealth mode, completed a spatial jump and appeared steadily near an unfamiliar ascension channel.

As it advanced, the Starsea Ark would periodically pause based on optimal communication distances, deploying Signal Amplifiers into the surrounding space.

These silver prisms, once released from their card forms, quickly anchored themselves in the void. A flash of light rippled across their surfaces, and like chameleons, they blended seamlessly with the surrounding void, concealing themselves perfectly.

On the Signal Network Management Card, the light points representing Signal Amplifiers spread and branched outward from the Immortal Realm as their center, rapidly extending into other parts of this star region.
