Chapter Index

【Meridis: Why go through all that trouble? If you ask me, we should just use brute force and blast apart all the ascension channels connecting the Immortal Realm to the Spirit Realms. Every time the Immortal Realm rebuilds one, we blast it apart again. Over time, the drain of maintaining and rebuilding those channels will wear it down. Its world origin will inevitably keep bleeding away, and a drop in rank is only a matter of time. Once the Immortal Realm’s rank falls, those Dao Ancestor realm cultivators whose power depends on the Immortal Realm’s Heavenly Dao will see their cultivation collapse along with it.】

【Anita: Exactly! The Dao Ancestors’ power is deeply bound to the Immortal Realm’s Heavenly Dao—when the Immortal Realm weakens, they weaken! At that point, we won’t even need to venture inside the world. We can attack the boundary membrane directly from the void, forcing the world consciousness to choose between ‘continuously dropping in rank’ and ‘cooperating with us to introduce a new system.’ That way, neither the Spirit Realms nor the cultivation world can do anything about us!】

【Traci: This method… theoretically, it is feasible. There’s a chance we could take down the Spirit Realms in one fell swoop, and even threaten the Immortal Realm itself. But the upfront investment would be enormous. We’d need to carry out sustained destructive attacks, which would consume massive Mana reserves. And we might not see any returns for a very long time. If the Immortal Realm and the Spirit Realms are willing to endure a drop in world rank just to outlast us, the Mana we spend would never be recouped!】

It was a high-risk, high-investment plan—but one with potentially enormous returns.

【Mo Lan: I just performed an Eighth Rank Divination Magic reading using the Fortune-Telling Spell. The result showed—auspicious.】

During this period, everyone had personally experienced the effects of the Fortune-Telling Spell.

The Sixth Rank and Seventh Rank versions were already remarkably accurate, to say nothing of the Eighth Rank Fortune-Telling Spell.

In an instant, all hesitation vanished!

    【Vasida: Blast it!】

【Lilith: Over these years, our Mana ranks have jumped significantly, and we’ve stockpiled plenty of disposable Mana too. In a war of attrition, they might not be able to outlast us!】

【Anita: No matter how sturdy the ascension channels between the Immortal Realm and the Spirit Realms are, a single Eighth Rank Firework Blast is more than enough to shatter them!】

Just as everyone’s fighting spirit was running high and they were preparing to each pick a target and go all out, Mo Lan had a flash of inspiration.

【Mo Lan: I’ve designed a new type of card that might maximize our advantages and minimize our risks.】

    【Traci: What card?】

    【Mo Lan: {Card Remote Controller}. Combined with {Magic Cards}, it allows remote activation of {Magic Cards}.】

【Lilith: Remote activation of {Magic Cards}? Doesn’t that mean we could place {Magic Card – Firework Blast} near all of the Immortal Realm’s ascension channels in advance, then use the remote controllers to destroy every single ascension channel simultaneously?】

【Vasida: We can get far, far away before activating the {Magic Cards}. Even if the Immortal Realm sends every last Dao Ancestor after us, we won’t have anything to fear!】

【Carmela: If all the ascension channels are destroyed at once, even if the Immortal Realm wants to send Dao Ancestors out for revenge, they won’t even know which direction to go!】

【Anita: Oho~ Setting off giant fireworks? I love it! After we’ve placed all the {Magic Cards}, I want to find a nice viewing spot near the Immortal Realm to hide and watch the fireworks!】

【Traci: Using force to pressure the Spirit Realms into signing cooperation contracts isn’t something that can happen overnight. The Immortal Realm will very likely send reinforcements once it gets word. I suggest we don’t split our forces. After placing all the {Magic Cards}, everyone should rally immediately. Then we activate the {Magic Cards} to destroy the ascension channels, and starting from the Spirit Realm farthest from the Immortal Realm, we concentrate all our power to deal with them one by one, forcing each world consciousness to sign a cooperation contract and promote the transformation of their world type.】

【Eliana: Then how do we split the profits?】

【Mo Lan: We can distribute them based on each person’s contribution during the concentrated offensive.】

    【Meridis: I agree!】

【Anita: Wonderful! Let’s set the rally point near the Immortal Realm! It’ll be convenient for watching the “fireworks” and for keeping an eye on the Immortal Realm’s movements!】

【Mo Lan: Sure. Let’s set it at the coordinates where the Starsea Ark was anchored when we first arrived back then. The distance is moderate—close enough to observe, but with enough of a safety buffer that we won’t be detected by the Immortal Realm.】

    【Vasida: No problem!】

    【Lilith: Agreed.】

【Carmela: I’ll refine the supplementary contract clauses for our next course of action accordingly.】

    ……

Once the strategy was finalized, everyone sprang into action.

One by one, {Magic Card – Firework Blast} cards, each tagged with a remote controller marker, were placed near the ascension channels between the Spirit Realms and the Immortal Realm.

Throughout the entire process, the Immortal Realm noticed nothing.

After every ascension channel had been “taken care of,” everyone swiftly withdrew, converging once more on the Starsea Ark’s original mooring point in the outer reaches beyond the Immortal Realm.

When the last companion’s vessel had docked within the mirror space’s boundary membrane, Mo Lan teleported everyone to a semi-transparent observation space near the boundary membrane.

This space was something she had only recently constructed. From inside, one could clearly see the void beyond, yet the space was protected by the boundary membrane—from outside, it was completely undetectable.

In the distance, the vast and hazy boundary membrane of the Immortal Realm was clearly visible, along with the countless ascension channels that extended outward like a spider’s web, emanating a dark golden luster.

Inside, comfortable seating had been arranged, as if this were truly the VIP section at some grand performance.

All participants—whether Sorceresses, Witches, Elves, or dragons—had gathered here.

A century had passed, and everyone’s Mana rank had risen by at least one full rank. The Sorceresses had improved even more.

At this moment, all eyes were fixed on the distant Immortal Realm, and a mixture of tension, excitement, and anticipation gradually spread among them.

“Everyone’s here. Shall we begin?” Anita clutched her remote controller tightly, barely able to contain herself.

“Let me do a reading first!” Mo Lan cast another Eighth Rank Fortune-Telling Spell. A few minutes later, she smiled and nodded to everyone. “Highly auspicious! On the count of three, we activate together.”

She raised the controller in her hand, and everyone else lifted their own controllers in turn.

    “Three!”

The platform fell utterly silent, with only the sound of slightly quickened breathing.

    “Two!”

Every gaze was locked on those dark golden ascension channels in the distance.

    “One!”

    “Activate!”

Every fingertip pressed down in unison. The commands traveled through the remote controllers, spanning the vast void, precisely triggering the {Magic Card – Firework Blast} cards that had long since been set in place.

They were far too distant from the detonation points for any deafening roar to reach them, but the sight before their eyes was far more powerful than any sound could have been.

In the distance, the ascension channels stretching from the Immortal Realm toward Spirit Realms in every direction fractured, disintegrated, and exploded all in the same instant—like clusters of brilliant fireworks blooming simultaneously across the void!

With the ascension channels gone, the nearby void suddenly became much “cleaner.” All that remained was the distant, solitary Immortal Realm, and its boundary membrane flickering erratically from the severed channels.
