Chapter Index

The promotion of Card Magic in the Mystic Spirit Realm, with the wealth of experience accumulated from the lower cultivation worlds as reference, proceeded without any unexpected incidents or complications throughout the entire process.

The only things that truly required some effort from Mo Lan and her companions were three matters.

The first was designing the Mystic Spirit Academy’s cards according to the Mystic Spirit Realm’s style and aesthetics, in order to enhance the local intelligent races’ acceptance of the Mystic Spirit Academy.

The second was precisely adjusting card pricing based on the investment during the initial “persuasion by force” phase and the quantity and quality of potential mages within the world.

Mo Lan would never conduct business at a loss.

The greater the investment during the persuasion by force phase, the higher the “conquest” costs, and consequently, the higher the costs that needed to be recouped through subsequent card sales.

Time costs were also costs. To begin turning a profit as quickly as possible, card pricing had to be set somewhat higher.

Of course, prices couldn’t be raised indefinitely either. The prerequisite was ensuring that the development of magical civilization across the entire Mystic Spirit Realm wouldn’t be slowed down too much by exorbitant card prices, while recovering the initial investment as much as possible and maximizing profits.

Prices set too high would suppress development and impact long-term returns.

The third matter was calculating everyone’s share of Card Magic revenue based on their initial contributions.

During the process of “persuading by force” the Mystic Spirit Realm, every participant’s invested Mana, consumed special cards, and even strategic value provided were all converted into “contribution points.” Then, according to the ratio of these contribution points, they would divide that 1% of the Mystic Spirit Realm’s total Card Magic revenue.

For the vast majority of participants, unlike Sorceresses, they couldn’t create cards from their unique magic imbued with the power of rules and list them for sale. The revenue from their share of that 1% was their primary reward for participating in the operation.

Although it appeared that only 1% could be divided per world, and it had to be split proportionally again—seemingly leaving each person with a smaller share—the number of worlds they could participate in distributing from had increased. Moreover, the target was all Spirit Realms, whose foundations far surpassed those of the cultivation worlds. The per capita number and aptitude of potential mages were also higher, and the potential market for card sales would be vastly larger. Little by little, when tallied together, the total revenue each person could ultimately earn would far exceed what they had been limited to when operating only in the cultivation worlds.

The returns also incentivized everyone to participate in subsequent operations.

As for the Sorceresses, they enjoyed dual sources of revenue.

Beyond participating in the 1% distribution based on contribution, their more important source of income was the ability to list their own unique Sorceress Magic cards for sale in the Mystic Spirit Realm’s Card Shop.

As for Mo Lan herself, she was raking in enormous profits.

First, 99% of the total Card Magic revenue from each world belonged to her personally.

This was her rightful due as the creator of Card Magic and the mastermind behind the entire plan.

Second, even from that 1% distributed among everyone else, she had secured the highest contribution ratio thanks to the massive quantity of high-tier Magic Cards she personally provided during the “persuasion by force” phase, claiming the largest slice of the pie.

What was particularly worth mentioning was that as the Mystic Spirit Academy spread, the Mystic Spirit Realm’s world consciousness also began to undergo a transformation.

In the past, cultivation resources—whether spiritually rich blessed grounds, rare natural treasures, or profound cultivation manuals and secret techniques—had all been monopolized by powerful sects and deeply entrenched noble families. For bottom-tier cultivators and ordinary people, obtaining even the slightest amount was as difficult as ascending to heaven, often requiring them to sacrifice their dignity, freedom, or even their lives.

The resulting conflicts, power struggles, and bloodshed had pervaded the entire history of the Mystic Spirit Realm.

But after embarking on the path of magic, everything changed.

The Mystic Spirit Academy became the sole and most equitable channel for obtaining resources. Whether it was basic meditation techniques, advanced spell structures, casting techniques, or even other magical resources—everything in the Academy’s shop was clearly priced and could be purchased with Gem Coins obtained by exchanging permanent psychic power or one-time psychic power.

Monopolies were thoroughly shattered. Paths of advancement were completely opened up. How many resources one could obtain no longer depended on birth, lineage, or fortune, but purely on how much surplus psychic power one possessed and how much effort one was willing to invest in cultivation.

Every intelligent being now stood at a relatively equal starting line.

As long as you were diligent enough and possessed sufficient talent, you could climb upward step by step along the clear ranking system established by the Mystic Spirit Academy.

The vicious conflicts born from knowledge monopolies and unfair resource distribution decreased at a visible pace in the Mystic Spirit Realm, until they nearly vanished entirely.

When everyone had a path of advancement that was visible, tangible, and achievable through their own efforts, the hostility in society naturally diminished dramatically.

Moreover, when Mo Lan designed the Mystic Spirit Academy’s Knowledge Card system, she didn’t only include magical knowledge. She also cleverly incorporated carefully curated content about equality, independence, freedom, kindness, rational discourse, and peaceful coexistence.

This knowledge was like a gentle spring rain that nourishes silently, subtly influencing the new generation of spellcasters who began engaging with the Mystic Spirit Academy.

The social atmosphere across the entire world was shifting toward greater harmony and rationality.

And all of this was clearly reflected at the level of world consciousness.

As an aggregate of the world’s collective consciousness and rules, the world consciousness’s inclinations were deeply influenced by the overall state of the mainstream intelligent beings within it.

As the intelligent beings of the Mystic Spirit Realm shifted from past oppression, conflict, and despair toward their current state of hope and peace, the elements of plunder, oppression, and conflict that the world consciousness carried—those that had been guided and instilled by the Immortal Realm—gradually dissolved.

The world consciousness of the Mystic Spirit Realm began its slow transition from the evil alignment toward neutrality.

This inner transformation manifested visibly on the external boundary membrane.

By the time the Mystic Spirit Realm had fully completed its transformation into a magical world, the dark golden glow on the boundary membrane had faded until it was almost imperceptible.

In its place was the boundary membrane’s own pure gray-blue luster, growing ever brighter and more stable. The Immortal Realm’s influence over it had weakened to the point of being negligible.

When Mo Lan and her companions were preparing to set off for the next Spirit Realm, a wave of mental intent completely different from before reached out to them of its own accord.

“Thank you… I… have never felt as good as I do now.”

This time, its gratitude came from the heart.

It felt the world’s reshaping and stabilization, and more than that, it felt the heavy shackles from the Immortal Realm that had bound it for countless ages finally and completely shattered.

    It had been truly reborn.

The entire journey of the Mystic Spirit Realm—from forced submission, to the earth-shattering transformation of its internal social structure, to the world consciousness’s ultimate rebirth and heartfelt gratitude—was captured in its entirety by the Starsea Ark. (End of Chapter)
