Chapter Index

Venerable Iron Star stared at the materials fused into the mirror space’s boundary membrane. “If we took this apart… how many immortal artifacts could we refine from it!”

Mo Lan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She produced the contract. “All the materials, including this demi-plane itself, are available for purchase in my Card Shop. If you’re interested, you can exchange them using one-time energy.”

The three of them had already heard Lin Yuwei and Zhao Mingxuan talk about Card Magic’s miraculous capabilities. They eagerly took the contract, signed it, and dove into studying it with great enthusiasm.

If time had permitted, they would have gone into seclusion right then and there to refine artifacts or rebuild their cosmic travel vessels.

With the Technology Ghost Elimination Program and the Card System Invitation, every person now possessed the ability to save Earth on their own.

“From here, let’s split up and move separately!”

Chen Mu had completed a systematic annotation of all the light beams emitted by the beacon. Now, the beacon’s light beams appeared in different colors to each person.

Red meant the boundary membrane was on the verge of shattering, war had already broken out or was about to—timelines requiring immediate intervention.

Orange meant Technology Ghosts had deeply infiltrated and military AI was about to be taken over—timelines on the brink.

Yellow meant Technology Ghosts had just begun their infiltration and military AI had not yet been fully compromised.

Green meant Technology Ghosts had not yet appeared.

Blue meant timelines that had already been saved, had embraced the path of Magic, and had escaped the crisis of extinction.

And beside each point of light, a processing status was annotated:

    【Processing: Lin Yuwei】

    【Processing: Zhao Mingxuan】

    【Processing: Sophia】

    【Awaiting Assignment】

Everything was clear at a glance.

From that day forward, not a single Earth across any timeline would ever become a dead world again.

At the same time, new voices began arriving through the beacon at regular intervals.

“Excuse me, is this the Earth Rescue Network?”

“I’m Emilia, from the destroyed timeline τ-005. I trained for eight hundred years in a magical world, and I’ve just sensed the call of my homeland…”

“I’m Zhang Haoran, from the Primordial Great World…”

    “I’m Evelyn, from…”

    “I’m…”

More and more people joined. Every single one of them had once been part of Earth. Every single one of them shared a common wish—to save their homeland.

Mo Lan turned no one away.

She signed contracts with every person who answered the call, shared Card Magic with them, and granted them access to the Technology Ghost Elimination Program and Card Magic Invitation.

    The team grew rapidly.

    Ten people.

    Twenty people.

    Fifty people.

    A hundred people.

As they rescued more and more worlds and encountered worlds in increasingly better condition, Mo Lan realized that the Card System needed to be updated.

Not every world needed the “apocalypse edition” of the Card System.

For worlds where the Technology Ghosts were still in their dormant phase and society was largely intact, suddenly giving everyone a set of “how to survive in the ruins” cards would actually cause panic and social upheaval.

So she developed a peacetime version of the Card System, emphasizing education, production, healthcare, and daily life assistance cards. Magical knowledge was unlocked in a gradual, progressive manner, suitable for socially stable worlds.

The two versions shared the same underlying architecture, but their messaging and guidance had completely different emphases.

The improvement showed immediate results. On those timelines’ Earths, the Card System was accepted by society as if it were a new branch of “science” or “technology.”

Schools began teaching basic meditation and magical theory. Hospitals started using Healing Magic to supplement modern medicine. Some countries’ militaries even began incorporating Magic Cards into their standard tactical systems.

Gradually, every red beam of light extending from the beacon disappeared entirely.

Only a handful of orange beams remained.

The number of yellow beams was plummeting as well.

More and more beams were turning blue—signifying worlds that had completely overcome the Technology Ghost crisis and embarked on the path of Magic.

Once these worlds reached a certain number, they also began exerting a beneficial influence on worlds that had not yet been rescued.

In some worlds that had yet to be rescued, the Technology Ghosts’ evolution speed inexplicably slowed, or the Ghosts stopped appearing altogether. In already-rescued worlds, the growth of magical civilization inexplicably accelerated.

When enough Earths had turned toward the path of Magic, some timelines’ Earths even naturally evolved magical civilizations on their own, their beams turning blue.

Though these couldn’t compare to the mature and comprehensive magical heritage within the Card System, it was still tremendous progress.

The more worlds they saved, the easier it became to save the remaining ones.

    The snowball grew ever larger.

The beams extending from the beacon transformed from a sea of red, orange, and yellow with scattered specks of blue and green, into an ocean of blue with the occasional yellow or green, until finally the entire beacon network was bathed in a gentle blue radiance.

And at that moment, the world consciousness of every reborn Earth across every timeline poured its source power into the beacon.

    “Children, thank you!”

“Earth… will always welcome you home!”

The beacon blazed with brilliant light, and in each person’s hand appeared a palm-sized token. It shone with the deep blue of a starry sky, and at its center, a miniature relief of Earth slowly rotated, the outlines of continents and oceans clearly visible.

Mo Lan gently grasped the token, and information flooded into her mind.

    【Eternal Homecoming Token — Earth】

【Effects: 1. The holder may return to any timeline’s Earth through the Well of the Sky at any time, with no cooldown, no cost, and no restrictions.

    2. Upon arriving at any Earth, the holder automatically receives the status of “Source-Blessed One,” enjoying the highest level of innate talent adaptation and fortune enhancement in that world.

    3. The holder may create an unlimited number of permanent Earth world invitation tokens.

    4. The token is soul-bound to the holder—it cannot be stripped, copied, or destroyed. Even if the physical body perishes or the soul reincarnates, the token shall accompany the soul’s imprint for all eternity.】

    Mo Lan stood frozen.

This was essentially a supercharged version of the world invitation token. Not only would the holder gain the “Source-Blessed One” status upon returning to Earth, receiving the highest innate talent and the best fortune, but they could also create an unlimited number of permanent Earth world invitation tokens, inviting people from other worlds to permanently reside on Earth.

Even more incredible was the soul-binding—no matter how many times one reincarnated, they could always return to Earth.

At that moment, the beacon network erupted completely. Weeping, laughter, shouts, and murmured whispers poured through.

    “We did it!”

“Every Earth across every timeline has been pulled back from the brink!”

“Thank heavens! Time is finally on our side!”

“Never again will an Earth’s soul be forced to leave home and wander!”

“The Eternal Homecoming Token! I can finally go home!”

“Ha ha ha! I’m going to bring my family and friends from my current world back home with me!”

Mo Lan gazed at the sea of blue stretching out from the beacon and the Eternal Homecoming Token in her hand, her vision blurring.

What she had promised Earth—she had finally done it. She could finally stop and rest.
