Chapter 365 – The Blackice Sword Unsheathes, the Advent Cult’s Machinations!
by spirapiraBlood Immortal Scripture!
Why would a member of the Advent Cult appear here…
Su Xing’s heart trembled, and a possibility immediately came to mind.
The Advent Cult — and by extension, the foreign race’s invasion — targeted the entire Three Thousand Worlds.
They had even infiltrated the very center of the Three Thousand Worlds without anyone noticing… the Heavenly Secrets Domain!
At this moment, just from what Su Xing personally knew, there were already three major domains affected by the foreign race’s invasion: the Azure Origin Domain, the Celestial Demon Domain, and the Heavenly Secrets Domain!
“So… the White Cloud Sect is colluding with the Advent Cult?”
“Or is it merely this Vice Sect Master alone who’s colluding with them?”
Several thoughts flashed through Su Xing’s mind, but regardless, this was not good news.
Su Xing and the Advent Cult were old adversaries.
Throughout his cultivation journey, Su Xing had come to understand the immense reach of the Advent Cult’s power. The strength of their high-ranking cadres was terrifying — no less formidable than any top-tier force in the Three Thousand Worlds!
“It seems this matter won’t end peacefully…”
Su Xing’s brow furrowed tightly as he stared at the dark silhouette before him. He could vaguely sense the black-robed cultivator’s strength —
Early-stage Celestial Immortal realm!
This was a cadre ranked within the top fifty of the Advent Cult… Su Xing didn’t know the exact code number.
“Early-stage Celestial Immortal cultivation, and factoring in the Advent Cult heretics’ bizarre techniques, this fellow’s true combat power is probably no lower than mid-stage Celestial Immortal…”
Thinking this, Su Xing found the situation rather thorny.
If he were at his peak, a mere Celestial Immortal would be nothing worth worrying about.
But now, with his strength greatly diminished, able to wield only his physical power, and with his qi and blood not yet recovered, whether he could even fight a Celestial Immortal cultivator was uncertain.
“Still, since I’ve encountered him, there’s no avoiding it!”
Su Xing drew a deep breath and looked at the black-robed figure before him without the slightest hint of retreat.
The black-robed figure, upon seeing Su Xing, examined him carefully and let a mocking smile creep across his face.
“It seems your cultivation was once quite impressive… perhaps Earthly Immortal, or even Celestial Immortal realm?”
“But right now, your cultivation appears to be completely ruined. How much of your strength can you actually bring to bear?”
“I can see your cultivation path hasn’t been easy. If you’re willing to join our holy cult and allow me to plant a Spiritual Imprint deep within your soul, I might just spare your life!”
The black-robed man wore an expression of absolute confidence as he began running his mouth.
Hearing his words, Su Xing’s face took on a peculiar look. This fellow’s cultivation wasn’t particularly high, but he certainly had no shortage of ambitions.
Yet Su Xing had no intention of wasting words with him. The Advent Cult’s plans in the Heavenly Secrets Domain, and even their relationship with the White Cloud Sect…
He would learn everything once he killed this man!
Even a lion uses its full strength to catch a rabbit, and with Su Xing’s power greatly diminished, he naturally wouldn’t underestimate his opponent. He went all out from the very start!
Su Xing channeled the meager primordial energy remaining in his body, cloaking his physical form with it, and hurled a fist at the black-robed man.
Su Xing’s speed was extraordinary, but the black-robed man did possess Celestial Immortal cultivation after all, and his combat experience was equally formidable.
The man swiftly produced a cauldron-shaped magical treasure and, after applying a spell, the palm-sized cauldron instantly swelled to the size of a small mountain. Black miasma clung to its surface, making it look utterly terrifying.
Facing this ferocious strike, Su Xing didn’t retreat. Instead, he intensified his power by thirty percent and drove his fist straight into the black cauldron!
Boom boom boom!
The tremendous sound instantly spread across all of White Cloud City, and the terrifying shockwaves made the entire city feel as though it sat upon an earthquake fault line.
The ground began to collapse, gaping chasms opening up and swallowing several buildings whole.
Su Xing frowned deeply at the sight.
A battle between Celestial Immortals was enough to destroy all of White Emperor City!
And the civilians of White Emperor City were innocent. Moreover, the White family siblings were nearby.
“No, I must relocate the battlefield…”
Su Xing knew that if he fought without restraint, White Emperor City would be reduced to ruins within the hour.
“But before relocating, I need to deal with those lackeys first…”
Now was not the time for mercy. Su Xing’s gaze shifted to the several White Cloud Sect Elders lying on the ground recovering from their injuries, and killing intent stirred in his heart.
The next second, Su Xing flickered to the four cultivators’ side. In an instant, several punches flew out, and three Advent Cult Elders were reduced to pulp beneath Su Xing’s fists.
Only the White Cloud Sect’s Vice Sect Master was left, his face filled with terror as he scrambled backward.
“Bastard, stop this at once! You dare kill disciples of my Advent Cult?”
The black-robed man was beside himself with fury, manipulating his spell to send the black cauldron crashing toward Su Xing.
Su Xing didn’t dodge. He threw one punch and reduced the White Cloud Sect’s Vice Sect Master to a paste of flesh.
At the same time, the hundred-zhang (333 m)-tall, mountain-like black cauldron slammed down onto Su Xing…
Boom boom boom!
The terrifying impact caused the ground to cave in dozens of meters once more.
The massive black cauldron pinned Su Xing firmly beneath it.
The air still echoed with the metallic clash of the cauldron striking the earth.
“Master!”
The siblings hiding in the White family courtyard saw this scene, and their eyes instantly turned red.
Such an enormous cauldron crashing down on Su Xing… in their understanding, there was absolutely no possibility of surviving that!
“Master, it’s all my fault… it’s all because of me!”
“Master, we dragged you into this…”
The two siblings stared at the massive black cauldron with anguished expressions.
On the other side, the black-robed man’s expression wasn’t particularly pleasant either.
“Damn it, where did this lunatic come from… he didn’t even care about his own life, just to kill those people?”
The black-robed man truly couldn’t understand why Su Xing would choose to take his black cauldron strike head-on.
“Well, at least it saves me some trouble… though it’s a shame I’ll have to find a new proxy in the White Cloud Realm now…”
In the black-robed man’s estimation, while Su Xing’s strength was considerable, taking that strike head-on meant there was absolutely no chance of survival.
But just as he was about to recall his black cauldron, his expression changed abruptly.
Through his senses, beneath that black cauldron, there was still a powerful life force — still alive!
“No, impossible! That strike of mine — even a Celestial Immortal caught completely off guard would be severely wounded!”
“This man’s cultivation is clearly destroyed, so how could he withstand it?”
The black-robed man refused to believe it at first, but a possibility quickly came to mind.
“Could this man be… a rare body cultivator, or even a dual cultivator of qi and body!?”
What the black-robed man never expected was that Su Xing’s true strength lay not in qi cultivation, but in body tempering!
He had originally assumed Su Xing merely possessed the most basic immortal body — that despite losing all his qi cultivation, the immortal body alone would be enough to overwhelm Mahayana-stage cultivators.
“I really did misjudge him…”
A solemn look flashed across the black-robed man’s face, and he began forming hand seals, preparing to unleash his supernatural arts.
Meanwhile, the previously still black cauldron began to tremble, layer after layer of vibrations emanating from it.
Then the colossal hundred-zhang (333 m) behemoth went flying dozens of li toward the outskirts of the city.
Su Xing stood on the ground, dusted off his clothes, and then sprinted toward the area beyond the city.
The black-robed man let out a cold laugh at the sight:
“Realized you’re outmatched and trying to run? Not so easy!”
With that, he gave chase.
Along the way, Su Xing deliberately slowed his pace, fighting and retreating alternately. Before they knew it, half a day had passed.
Half a day later, Su Xing arrived near a desolate, uninhabited mountain range. There were no humans in the vicinity, only ferocious beasts — the perfect location for battle!
Su Xing stood still and waited quietly for a moment. Soon enough, the black-robed man caught up, his face twisted in a sneer:
“Running away? Why’d you stop?”
The black-robed man assumed Su Xing had simply run out of strength, and promptly unleashed his spells in attack.
But over the course of their chase, Su Xing had already taken the full measure of the black-robed man’s capabilities.
Roughly equivalent to a mid-stage Celestial Immortal, proficient in various spells and techniques, but his comprehension of the Great Dao was not particularly deep.
“Naturally, it’s because I’ve decided it’s time for you to die… no need to drag this out any further!”
Su Xing said calmly.
The black-robed man sneered. “Hah, what arrogant words! Let’s see what you’re really made of!”
With that, he cast his spell once more, summoning the black cauldron to crash down on Su Xing.
Facing the terrifying black cauldron, Su Xing simply stood in place, eyes gently closed, as if he had given up resisting entirely.
But if one drew close enough, one could hear the murmur on Su Xing’s lips:
“Old friend, it’s time to leave the sheath!”
As Su Xing’s words fell, a series of soft chimes rang out from within his body!
The next second, a flying sword burst forth from Su Xing’s body and slashed toward the black cauldron.
The Blackice sword!
After years of dormancy, the Blackice sword had finally been unsheathed!
Ever since Su Xing had refined the Blackice sword into his natal artifact, the blade had been nurtured within his body.
Before, when Su Xing’s primordial energy had not yet recovered, he couldn’t wield this sword.
But now, with much of his primordial energy restored, he could — at a certain cost — unleash this blade to cut down his enemies!
The Blackice sword was one of Su Xing’s greatest trump cards!
The sword had been virtually unaffected in that great battle. It was a genuine mid-grade supreme post-celestial treasure!
Once unsheathed, the Blackice sword streaked straight toward the black cauldron.
The next instant, as if slicing through tofu, the mountain-sized black cauldron was cleaved into seven or eight pieces, its fragments scattering across the desolate mountains.
At the same time, disbelief filled the black-robed man’s eyes:
“No, impossible! How can this be…”
His pupils contracted. Before he could even react, the Blackice sword — its momentum undiminished after shattering the black cauldron — pierced straight toward him.
The next second, a flash of sword light penetrated the black-robed man’s forehead.
Even in death, disbelief was still etched across his face.
After the Blackice sword severed the black-robed man’s life force, it transformed into a streak of spiritual light and returned to Su Xing’s hand.
Looking at the returned Blackice sword, Su Xing let a smile spread across his face. He gently stroked the blade a few times and said:
“Old friend, you’ve worked hard… using you to slay a mere Celestial Immortal is really a waste of your talents…”
With a thought, Su Xing returned the Blackice sword to his body to continue nurturing it.
With his current strength, he couldn’t sustain wielding the Blackice sword for extended periods.
The Blackice sword sensed Su Xing’s intention and, after two reluctant little trembles, obediently returned to its place within Su Xing’s body.
After successfully killing the black-robed man, Su Xing took his storage artifact.
The storage artifact bore restrictive seals that Su Xing couldn’t break for now. He would have to wait until he recovered a certain degree of qi cultivation before he could use it.
“I hope nothing’s gone wrong in White Cloud City…”
Su Xing concealed the traces of battle, then swiftly made his way back to White Cloud City.
Half a day later, Su Xing returned safely to White Cloud City.
Although the main fighting hadn’t taken place within the city, the few exchanges at the start had still destroyed a good portion of it.
Several thousand low-level cultivators and ordinary people had perished in the shockwaves…
Even Su Xing couldn’t have prevented those casualties.
After the battle concluded, Su Xing collected the Elders’ corpses and prepared to take the White family siblings away from White Cloud City.
In this battle, an Advent Cult cadre of the Celestial Immortal realm had been slain by Su Xing.
The Advent Cult would certainly investigate afterward. Given Su Xing’s current strength, openly opposing the Advent Cult was not a wise decision.
If the cult had a cadre with a code number in the top ten stationed in this realm, Su Xing’s prospects would be grim indeed.
And so, Su Xing took the White family siblings and fled White Cloud City under cover of night.
…
In the blink of an eye, two years passed.
White Cloud Realm, a certain cultivation ground within the White Cloud Sect.
Su Xing stared unblinkingly at the storage artifact before him, then channeled the small amount of soul power he had recovered and began dismantling the restrictive seals upon it.
After an unknown stretch of time — from when the sun hung overhead to when the moon perched atop the treetops — Su Xing finally exhaled a long breath, joy evident on his face:
“Phew, finally done!”
With a thought, piles upon piles of materials appeared throughout the cultivation ground.
This storage ring had belonged to the black-robed man!
Over the past two years, although Su Xing’s magical power hadn’t recovered, he had employed certain special methods to break the seals on the other Elders’ storage artifacts one by one.
Only the Celestial Immortal black-robed man’s seal had proven more difficult. Su Xing had expended considerable effort, and only today had he finally managed to open it.
Looking at the mountain of various cultivation resources, Su Xing rummaged through them.
Moments later, Su Xing found a blood-red token with the characters “thirty-nine” engraved upon it.
“A blood code number — Thirty-Nine, is it?”
Su Xing raised an eyebrow. Just as he had expected, the Advent Cult had already begun infiltrating the Heavenly Secrets Domain!
“However, the only good news is… the White Cloud Sect’s Vice Sect Master colluding with the Advent Cult was a personal act, and hadn’t yet risen to the level of the entire White Cloud Sect.”
“This means the Advent Cult’s infiltration of the Heavenly Secrets Domain should have only just begun. The question is — how many people has the Advent Cult already dispatched into the domain?”
Pondering this, Su Xing continued sifting through Blood Thirty-Nine’s personal belongings.
After considerable effort, Su Xing found several letters and jade slips used for communication.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Su Xing destroyed the jade slips and then began reading the contents of the letters.
A short while later, Su Xing’s brow furrowed slightly, a look of shock crossing his face.
“The Advent Cult actually dispatched over twenty cadres into the Heavenly Secrets Domain?”
“And more importantly… the Advent Cult cadre in charge of the entire Heavenly Secrets Domain is Blood Two!”
Su Xing frowned. Blood Two — that code number was undoubtedly terrifying!
Su Xing’s old nemesis, Blood Three, already possessed Supreme Unity Golden Immortal cultivation…
And based on Su Xing’s estimation, Blood Two’s code number ranked above Blood Three’s, meaning they possessed at least Peak Supreme Unity Golden Immortal cultivation… or perhaps were even a Grand Luo Golden Immortal!
“Tsk tsk, things are getting thorny indeed!”
“With Blood Two here, it seems the Advent Cult is absolutely determined to claim the Heavenly Secrets Domain!”
“I must recover my cultivation as quickly as possible to have any hope of protecting myself!”
Su Xing thought this, then turned his gaze to the resources within Blood Thirty-Nine’s storage ring.
The good news was that Blood Thirty-Nine had carried an enormous amount of cultivation resources, including quite a few medicinal pills for healing injuries — exactly what Su Xing desperately needed!
“With this batch of resources… within one year, I should be able to fully restore my magical power!”
