Regarding Upcoming Updates and the Five Trials of Spirit Transformation

Let me start with the setting~

The Five Trials of Spirit Transformation should properly be called the “Heart Refinement Trials” in the lore. They tackle the five trials of lust, fear, greed, pride, and wrath. Essentially, they serve as a test of the protagonist’s mental state and his resolve in seeking the Dao.

It’s the transition from human desire to immortal nature. After all, once you’ve achieved Spirit Transformation, you should be considered as gradually transcending the mortal realm.

Even though ours is a simulator cultivation novel, ahem, we still need to stay true to the word “immortal”!

That’s why the Five Trials of Spirit Transformation exist as a setting — it’s a small idea of my own.

The original plan was for the protagonist to accumulate experience through each simulation, allowing him to better overcome the next trial.

But after thinking it over, given that we’re a simulator novel, the main selling point is satisfaction.

So I’ve decided to let the protagonist pass through the remaining four trials as quickly as possible and break through to Spirit Transformation.

After Spirit Transformation, we return to the main storyline~

Now let’s talk about updates.

I’m switching to two chapters per day, published at 12:00 midnight and 12:00 noon.

Each chapter will be at least 5,000 words — that’s 10,000 words across two chapters!

After all, as a new author, I’d feel like I’m not living up to my identity if I’m not hitting 10,000 words a day…

With two chapters at a time, the plot should feel more complete, and the pacing should feel more satisfying and faster for everyone.

Bonus chapters work the same as before — for every 1,000 monthly tickets, I’ll release 8 bonus chapters! All other bonus chapter rules remain unchanged as well.

(PS: But one chapter of 5,000 words counts as two chapters, that’s not unreasonable, right?)
