“What’s happening?”

Devon was both shocked and furious, summoning his adjutant to question him harshly.

However, the adjutant was equally bewildered.

“Sir, I don’t know. The soldiers just suddenly flew out!”

    “Useless!”

Devon’s face darkened, and paying no further heed to scolding the adjutant, he turned his horse, intending to go over and see for himself.

But at the next moment, he stopped.

For the chaos in the distance was spreading in this direction.

As they got closer, Devon finally saw a clue.

In the crowd, it seemed as if an invisible giant beast was charging this way, knocking away all the soldiers blocking its path, snapping tendons and breaking bones.

From a high vantage point, one could clearly see the originally densely packed crowd forcibly plowed open to form a blood-soaked path that was constantly spreading towards Devon and the other two!

Upon seeing this, Devon and his companions’ faces changed drastically.

“Stop it!” Devon almost roared as he issued the order.

However, faced with an unseen enemy, the soldiers had no way to intercept it. They could only stand in its path with their flesh and blood, but the next second, they were struck flying, with some even directly split into pieces on the spot, blood splattering.

Such a gruesome scene deepened the terror on the faces of the surrounding soldiers.

After several dozen soldiers died inexplicably, the remaining ones finally collapsed, screaming and fleeing in all directions.

    “Anyone who runs will die!”

Devon killed one soldier trying to escape like a headless chicken with a slash, shouting fiercely.

Unfortunately, this move had no effect on the soldiers whose minds were clouded with fear.

Only a few knights stood their ground with gritted teeth in front of the three lords.

They were knights with fiefdoms in villages, and if they deserted on the battlefield, they would certainly face retribution and lose their village lands afterwards.

“Damn it! What on earth is that monster?” Norwood’s expression could not hide his fear.

    “That is my demon pet.”

A voice suddenly came from behind.

Everyone turned around abruptly, only then realizing that at some point, someone had appeared behind them.

Upon seeing the person’s face clearly, Norwood’s pupils dilated, and he blurted out:

    “Su Nan!”

In his mind, Su Nan should currently be in Blackstone City; how could he possibly get through the battlefield to appear in the center of their army?

How did this guy do it?

Devon and Zorf were also somewhat astonished, but after exchanging glances, they quickly made a decision, drawing their weapons with a clang.

    “Kill him!”

The surrounding knights swarmed around, charging toward Su Nan with murderous intent.

Compared to the terrifying invisible monster, it was obviously easier to handle an enemy they could see.

However, they soon found this notion was entirely mistaken.

In an instant, dazzling lightning burst into view, the blinding brightness causing the knights to instinctively shut their eyes.

And once they were closed, they could never open them again.

The intense pain swept over their bodies in an instant, darkness engulfing their consciousness.

Devon and the others only saw Su Nan wave his hand, and countless lightning bolts explosively burst forth, like long serpents winding through the void, shooting in all directions.

In just a moment, more than ten knights had turned to charred corpses, falling dead to the ground!

Devon and his companions stared vacantly at this scene, their minds blank, mouths agape with no words.

    What power is this?!

More than ten knights, including some advanced knights, were slaughtered in seconds like that?!

The three of them turned pale, looking at Su Nan with uncontrollable dread and terror in their eyes.

Only now did they suddenly realize that the rumors about Su Nan were indeed true!

Whether it was the legendary powerful means of a sorcerer, or the fact that Su Nan had become a sorcerer, the truth of these rumors was all proven with overwhelming force at this moment.

Seeing Su Nan looking over with a detached gaze, Zorf suddenly shivered, reacting first and urgently shouted:

    “Wait, I surrender.”

“As long as you don’t kill me, I can have my family pay a considerable ransom!”

Zorf spoke quickly, fearing that speaking too slowly would lead Su Nan to act.

Devon and Norwood soon realized as well and hurriedly expressed the same.

It wasn’t just the unfathomable Su Nan, but that invisible giant beast alone was a terrifying war weapon enough to make one’s scalp tingle on the battlefield!
Even the most elite army would collapse in the face of such monsters!

They even doubted whether Martel could handle Su Nan and the giant beast.

In any case, the most important thing right now is to save their own lives.

    “Surrender?”

Su Nan smiled mockingly and nodded:
“Alright, surrender and I’ll kill half of you.”

Devon and his companions felt a moment of joy at the first part, but were immediately dumbfounded.

    What does ‘kill half’ mean?

Before the three could figure it out, they saw Su Nan casually raise his hand, and countless wind blades appeared out of thin air, sweeping in like arrows, shredding their lower bodies into a spray of blood mist!

It wasn’t until their upper bodies hit the ground that they reacted, letting out extremely horrific screams.

The strong physique of the knights allowed the three to keep screaming for four or five minutes, even with only half a body left, before they finally quieted down and died with fear and despair.

Su Nan withdrew his gaze and looked around.

Under the repeated assaults of the Hidden Dragon, the enemies either died, were injured, or fled in all directions.

Seeing this, Su Nan directly ordered the Hidden Dragon to charge towards the enemy troops attacking the city.

The attacking army never expected enemies would come from behind, and they were caught off guard.

The key point was that the attacking soldiers had no idea where the attack came from. When they looked up, all they saw were their comrades’ bodies distorting and breaking, with limbs and flesh flying, leaving them pale and bewildered.

Martel realized something was amiss at this time.

“What are those three guys doing? How could they let the enemy through?”

But when he took a moment to look back, all he saw was a devastated camp full of corpses.

    What’s going on?

Where are the troops standing by?

How did they all vanish in an instant?

    Martel was completely baffled.

In contrast, Brother Ke Yi, Bured, Jodun, and the others, upon seeing the scene below, immediately thought of the invisible giant beast raised by Su Nan, showing delighted expressions.

    “It’s Lord Su Nan!”

    “Lord Su Nan has returned!”

The name ‘Su Nan’ seemed to wield a certain magical power. As soon as it was spoken, the defending knights’ morale soared, and their offensive became much fiercer.

    “Su Nan? That wizard?”

Martel’s face changed as he vaguely realized that they might have gravely misjudged an important piece of intelligence.

Unfortunately, realizing it now was too late.

Martel was indeed a decisive person. Seeing the unfavorable situation, he didn’t hesitate at all. He decisively retreated, leaping off the city wall, intending to flee.

But the moment he landed, he suddenly felt his ankle tighten. Looking down, he was startled to find a blood-colored vine growing at his feet, winding up his ankle.

Martel immediately swung his sword, but the blood-colored vine was unexpectedly tough. Even his full-force strike could only sever one vine.

Moreover, he clearly felt his energy draining, being absorbed by these eerie vines.

Not far away, Su Nan slightly raised his hand, and the Bloodvine Ring on his index finger glowed faintly.

He laughed coldly, and with a flash of light from his palm, three Magic Missiles whistled and shot out.

Martel, restricted by the blood vines, couldn’t dodge and could only watch helplessly as three Magic Missiles struck, piercing through his armor and causing his combat shield to fluctuate violently.

The fierce impact made Martel’s face turn white, and before he could recover, three more Magic Missiles came directly at him.

Under the shroud of fear of death, Martel shouted fiercely, his powerful combat energy suddenly bursting forth, tearing the blood vines from his body with a ripping sound, and then he fled without looking back.

But just after running a dozen meters, he felt a chill creeping up his spine. Instinctively, he raised his sword to strike diagonally behind him.

    Clang!
A crisp sound of metal clashing erupted.

It seemed he had struck something, sparks flared in mid-air.

Faintly, Martel seemed to see the outline of a massive beast, crouched with sharp teeth and claws.

Before he could make sense of it, the beast twisted sharply, its mighty tail sweeping through the air!

    Bang!
Martel was flung away like a broken kite, spitting out a mouthful of blood in mid-air, before crashing heavily to the ground.

    Swoosh!
Three Magic Missiles immediately followed, and Martel’s head exploded like a watermelon!

Seeing the headless corpse from a distance, Su Nan slowly retracted his hand.

Dealing with a high-level grand knight is rather tricky; without using runic gemstones, I still needed to join forces with the Hidden Dragon to take him down.

Martel’s death seemed like the straw that broke the camel’s back. The attacking soldiers could no longer hold on and began to flee.

Bured, Jodun, and other leaders immediately opened the city gates, leading people to pursue and slay the fleeing soldiers.

Brother Ke Yi strode to Su Nan, laughing heartily and gave him a warm hug.

    “Welcome home!”
