Chapter Index

Mo Lan had already asked Lady Amisha about this.

The entire library held just over nine hundred thousand books, and among them, the books found in the first-, second-, and third-year reading rooms all had copies in the library as well.

So there was no need to pick and choose — she simply started from the library section nearest to the entrance and copied them one by one.

She only skipped books that were also in the reading rooms and that she had already copied.

Even though all she needed to do was press her Grimoire against each book to copy it, factoring in time for eating and sleeping, it still took Mo Lan half a month to finish copying all the books.

By then, her Grimoire’s table of contents alone required several pages to contain.

And bear in mind — a single page in the Grimoire could hold the contents of an entire book.

During the copying process, Mo Lan also discovered a book she found deeply fascinating — 《Fireworks Magic》.

She had already read Sorceress Traci’s 《Book Magic》 and Sorceress Carmela’s 《Contract Magic》, and had even learned quite a few spells from them.

Only Sorceress Anita’s 《Fireworks Magic》 — this was the first time Mo Lan had actually seen the magic book itself.

Before this, she had only encountered scattered descriptions in books like 《The Path of the Sorceress》, 《History of Witches》, and 《A Witch’s Guide to Living in the Wilds》.

Up until now, all Mo Lan knew was that Anita’s Manifested Gift was called the Fireworks Wand, and that it was renowned for its destructive power.

Back when the three Elder Sorceresses had beaten down every hostile force against witches across the entire continent, the magic they wielded was the Sorceress Magic of Fireworks Witch Anita.

That’s right — even the other two Sorceresses, when using military force to intimidate foreign races, relied on the Fireworks Magic that Anita shared with them through Contract Magic.

Even later, when the Sorceresses claimed the southern Wilds and declared the territory belonged to Sorceresses and witches, and Lady Traci was researching and setting up the defensive magic formation covering the entire Wilds, the defensive measures placed along the borders were primarily based on Fireworks Magic.

Lady Carmela’s Contract Magic, within this formation, served more as a backdoor for friendly forces.

《A Witch’s Guide to Living in the Wilds》 stated:

“Any creature that trespasses beyond the boundary markers of the Witch’s Wilds will be reduced to ash the moment they set foot on Wilds soil. Unless they have signed a witch’s contract, pledging to never harm the interests of witches or Sorceresses.”

What kind of magic dared to claim it could reduce every trespassing creature to ash?!

Mo Lan had been burning with curiosity about this for a long time.

When she came across this book, she couldn’t resist flipping through it on the spot before even copying it.

The moment she opened to the first page, there was a colorful Mo-Pic that was only slightly smaller than the page itself.

In the Mo-Pic, a round-faced girl with pink twin-tails reaching down to her waist wore a puffy pink dress adorned with bows along the hem, white lace over-the-knee stockings, and pink high-heeled shoes. In her hand she held an exaggeratedly large star-shaped wand, and she was winking playfully at the viewer.

The next moment, the scene shifted — she waved the star-shaped wand, and a pink-and-pastel energy blast shot out, detonating in a dazzling burst of fireworks against a pristine white mountain that hung inverted from the sky.

Finally, she pointed toward the bottom of the Mo-Pic.

Written there was a single line: “Fireworks Magic — you deserve it!”

Mo Lan drew a sharp breath.

An inverted mountain hanging from the sky, and a white one at that — in all of Valen, there was only one such place: the homeland of the Angels — Heaven’s Peak.

The person in the Mo-Pic had to be Lady Anita, right? Looking all cute and adorable, innocent and whimsical, wearing a princess-style puffy dress — this Sorceress had casually waved the toy-like star wand in her hand, set off a single firework, and blown a massive hole in Heaven’s Peak’s protective barrier, even crumbling a corner off the lowest level.

Oh, and before setting off the firework, she hadn’t forgotten to snap a Mo-Pic to commemorate the moment.

    It was absolutely stunning!

Before, when she had only read text descriptions, Mo Lan hadn’t truly grasped the reality of it.

Now she suddenly understood why the witch race had produced only three Sorceresses, yet no one in all of Valen dared to provoke them! Who would dare? Anger them and they’d set off fireworks at your doorstep without a second thought!

    So cool!

Mo Lan could hardly wait to flip to the next pages.

But the second page was another Mo-Pic.

This time, the fireworks weren’t being set off at Heaven’s Peak.

Judging by the endless snowfields stretching in every direction, it had to be somewhere in the uninhabited reaches of the Far North.

The Mo-Pic book 《The Valen Complete Travel Guide》 that Lady Traci had made also contained Mo-Pics of that place, and it looked very similar.

Lady Anita was high up in the sky. She still winked and waved hello at the viewer, then aimed the star-shaped wand toward the ground below.

In an instant, a football-sized colorful energy blast shot straight toward the ground.

A massive pit appeared in the earth, so deep that the bottom was invisible. After a while, a burst of colorful light bloomed from within the pit.

Even with the previous Mo-Pic having set her expectations, Mo Lan still couldn’t help but feel her breathing quicken.

This was definitely the Far North!

《The Valen Complete Travel Guide》 had said that in all the surface world of the Continent of Valen, there was only one entrance that led directly to the Abyss, and it was located in the snowfields of the Far North.

Every other entrance to the Abyss was separated from the surface world by the Underdark.

But the book had never mentioned that this direct entrance to the Abyss in the Far North had been blasted open by a single firework from Lady Anita!

Below this Mo-Pic, the same line appeared once more: “Fireworks Magic — you deserve it.”

“Lady Anita doesn’t even need to write promotional text! Just these two Mo-Pics alone would be enough to make every witch stop in her tracks and drain every last drop of her magic power trying to learn Fireworks Magic.”

When Mo Lan turned to the third page and saw Lady Anita casually launch a firework into the sky, with the sparks that burst forth leveling an entire cluster of mage towers, she wasn’t even surprised anymore.

Heaven’s Peak had already been chipped. The Abyss had already been punched through. What were a few human mage towers compared to that?

No need for further discussion — this Fireworks Magic was something she absolutely had to learn!

    Mo Lan continued reading.

After three Mo-Pics, the book finally arrived at the main topic.

At this point, it was similar to the other Sorceress Magic books, beginning with an introduction to the magic itself.

Anita’s Manifested Gift, the Fireworks Wand — that toy-like star wand — could convert raw energy into direct explosive firework blasts.

The firework blasts could deliver precision strikes or scatter for area-of-effect damage.

The destructive power after conversion into firework blasts was staggeringly immense.

At the time the book was written, when Anita herself cast it, just 1 Mana was enough to collapse an ordinary mountain.

This energy-to-destruction conversion rate would continue to increase as Lady Anita grew stronger and further developed her Sorceress Talent.

Her Fireworks Magic consisted of only a single spell — the Firework Blast.

Based on conversion efficiency, it was divided into Apprentice level, Beginner level, Intermediate level, Advanced level, and Peak level.

    Different tiers were priced differently.

The prices were much higher than those for Contract Magic and Book Magic, but the book also stated clearly that Fireworks Magic was sold exclusively to witches and would never be shared with outsiders.

Reading this, Mo Lan couldn’t help but exclaim that Lady Anita was getting the short end of the deal.
