Chapter Index

Witch Magic differed from mage Magic, which emphasized magical knowledge and magical comprehension. It originated from bloodline, grew through real combat, and naturally sublimated through continuous use.

Every spell cast, every battle fought, made Witch Magic grow stronger.

Magical knowledge and magical comprehension could promote Witch Magic to a certain degree, but they weren’t necessary.

A dungeon where the Dream Chronodisk froze time and ore monsters served as sparring partners was the most perfect place for Mo Lan to raise her Witch Magic level.

From single ore monsters, to ore monsters formed from aggregations of the same type of ore, to those formed from two, three… types of ore aggregated together—sometimes when she was having a great time fighting a certain type of ore monster, or when she couldn’t beat one, she would reset the dungeon and start over, fighting through it several more times.

With the Dream Chronodisk freezing time, no matter how long she stayed inside the dungeon, only one minute would pass after she left. Mo Lan didn’t need to worry about time at all. She could practice Magic however she pleased and fulfill every combat scenario she had ever envisioned.

When she grew tired of fighting, she could also design cards, research Magic, potions, and Alchemy to adjust her mood.

She had learned so many types of Magic and collected so many magical materials—making just a few basic Magic Cards and Material Cards was hardly enough.

The potion and Alchemy inspirations brought by magical materials, and the magical inspirations brought by knowledge of different magical systems—all of these needed to be tested and tried one by one.

There was no place more suited for secluded research than this dungeon where she didn’t need to worry about time.

The only expenditure here was Mana.

The Dream Chronodisk that froze dungeon time, the Energy Storage Cards for rapid Mana recovery, the gourmet cards for daily meals… all of these required disposable Mana to create with the Book of Cards.

The Mana stored in Mo Lan’s Book of Cards was rapidly decreasing.

Fortunately, she had accumulated enough Mana beforehand, and the Dawn Society members in Valen were still continuously providing her with disposable Mana. Otherwise, she couldn’t have sustained this level of spending.

As her Magic level rose, the ore monsters Mo Lan chose to face also grew gradually stronger.

By the time she had finally trained all her Witch Magic to Third Rank Peak level, she was also ready to face the dungeon’s ultimate challenge.

She exited the dungeon and re-entered.

The reset dungeon had returned to its original state—the ground covered in ore fragments, the rock walls studded with rare minerals.

Mo Lan stood on the circular stone platform at the center, cast protective Magic and enhancement Magic on herself, and once she was ready, began casting.

It was still the mine-blasting staple, Fireball—but this time it was a Third Rank Fireball.

When casting Third Rank Magic, the maximum amount of Mana that could be mobilized was 30% of one’s total Mana.

Due to the world-level restrictions of the Dreamweaver World, her total Mana was suppressed to the Third Rank Peak level—that is, 9,999,999 Mana.

The Third Rank Fireball she now cast at full power mobilized an astonishing 2,999,999.7 Mana. The elemental force converted from it instantly coalesced into a massive fireball, and the surrounding air slightly distorted from the explosive fire elemental force radiating from it.

Mo Lan gave it a gentle push. The giant fireball came crashing down, and the instant it touched the ground, it violently imploded inward. After compressing to its limit, it erupted.

    “BOOM——!!!”

Amid the deafening explosion, a crimson shockwave rapidly expanded outward from the point of impact. The ore fragments on the ground and the mineral veins in the rock walls were all caught in the blast.

But unfortunately, this was inside a dungeon, and dungeon rules took effect.

The shattered ores didn’t vanish. Instead, they began aggregating and reassembling. In the blink of an eye, an ore giant standing a full twenty meters tall rose from the ground. Its body was perfectly assembled from countless types of rare ores, each piece gleaming with a dangerous light.

This was the most formidable ore monster in the Golden Mine Tunnel dungeon.

Mo Lan didn’t give the ore giant any chance to show its power. Without a word, she launched another Fireball. This time, the Fireball struck precisely at the ore giant’s chest.

Another tremendous boom rang out. The ore giant’s freshly formed body instantly crumbled apart, and countless high-purity ore chunks rained down like a downpour.

“???” Mo Lan said, “That’s it?”

The ultimate challenge she had long anticipated was resolved with just two Fireballs.

【Congratulations, Adventurer Moira, for defeating the Golden Mine Tunnel dungeon’s final boss, the Ore Giant. Perfect evaluation achieved. Rewards: Skill Points ×10, High-Precision Ore Detector ×1, Dream Realm Permanent Residency Card ×1, Dreamweaver World Explorer Invitation ×1, Experience Points ×1,000,000, Dream Crystal Coins ×100】

The dungeon settlement message had appeared on her panel, and Mo Lan had no choice but to accept that the legendary ore giant couldn’t withstand even a single Third Rank Peak Fireball.

She looked curiously at the rewards. “Dream Realm Permanent Residency Card? Dreamweaver World Explorer Invitation? What are these?”

Skill points, ore detectors, experience points, dream coins—she had received all of these before when leaving the dungeon after challenging other ore monsters.

They were simply larger in quantity and better in quality, but none of them were particularly useful to Mo Lan.

This time, however, there were two new items.

【Dream Realm Permanent Residency Card: Upon use, the holder becomes a permanent resident of the dream realm. Death of the physical body in the real world will not affect the body’s state in the dream realm.】

【Dreamweaver World Explorer Invitation: Upon use, the holder may enter the Dreamweaver World Explorer’s Camp and travel through the Well of the Sky within the camp to explore other worlds.】

Looking at these two items, Mo Lan finally understood how the beings of the Dreamweaver World traveled to the Well of the Sky.

A dungeon with ostensibly no level cap actually had a perfect completion difficulty set at the Third Rank Peak level.

After achieving perfect completion, the rewarded Dream Realm Permanent Residency Card and Dreamweaver World Explorer Invitation served two purposes: one allowed adventurers to make their dream realm body their primary body, no longer constrained by their frail real-world body; the other allowed adventurers to enter the Well of the Sky and explore other worlds.

The true purpose of dungeons like this was probably to screen adventurers who had reached the pinnacle of the dream realm!

The two items glowed with dazzling golden light in her inventory.

“I wonder what would happen if I fed them to the Book of Cards?” Mo Lan curiously summoned the Book of Cards, and just as she was about to toss the two items in, a new message popped up on her adventurer panel.

【Would you like to use the “Dream Realm Permanent Residency Card” and “Dreamweaver World Explorer Invitation”?】

The message was equally eye-catching, as if afraid Mo Lan might miss it.

Mo Lan tapped “No” without a moment’s hesitation.

Between a Sorceress body in the real world and her current Shadow Tribe body—did she even need to think about which to choose?

And she was already an Explorer from the world of Valen. Accepting the Dreamweaver World’s Well of the Sky invitation would only make sense if she planned to truly settle down in the Dreamweaver World!
