Chapter Index

The Gushing Spring Forest Sea was a resource-rich seven-star mirror space.

It was said that the surface was dotted with countless “Elemental Gushing Springs” — spring eyes that ceaselessly gushed forth water rich in various types of magical energy. The spring water displayed different colors and properties depending on its elemental affinity.

The spring water converged into streams, rivers, and lakes, nourishing the entire space and causing the plants and mirror beasts here to grow extraordinarily large, lush, and brimming with Mana.

Mo Lan had long since studied theerta《 Complete Illustrated Guide to Gushing Spring Forest Sea Magical Materials 》. The mirror beasts, plants, and minerals of the Gushing Spring Forest Sea — their images, properties, habitats, and collection methods — she knew them all by heart.

This time, she absolutely refused to leave until she completed a full collection of every magical material in the Gushing Spring Forest Sea!

After completing her Transfiguration, Mo Lan cast aside all hesitation, grabbed her blade, and headed deep into the jungle.

    Over a year later.

In a Corrupted Swamp Spring that continuously churned with dark purple bubbles, an enormous, semi-transparent Phantom Poison Jellyfish drifted slowly through the murk. Its countless tentacles, flickering with dangerous purple light, hung downward, gently stirring the poisonous spring as it drew in power.

The terrifying pressure emanating from this seven-star poison-attribute mirror beast left the surrounding area utterly barren — not a single blade of grass dared grow.

Yet a figure completely ignored this suffocating domain and brazenly charged into this forbidden zone of death.

After more than a year of relentless combat and training, Mo Lan’s martial skills and Magic had both undergone a transformative metamorphosis.

“Finally… the last one.” Mo Lan murmured to herself, her gaze locking onto the Phantom Poison Jellyfish and the toxic elemental spring eye beneath it.

These were the last two uncollected items on her 《 Complete Illustrated Guide to Gushing Spring Forest Sea Magical Materials 》— the seven-star Phantom Poison Jellyfish, and the spring eye of the Corrupted Swamp Spring.

She didn’t attempt to close in for melee combat using her formidable physical abilities and increasingly refined bladework, as she would have against mid- to low-star mirror beasts.

The body-tempering standards of the Three Thousand Mirror Ruins World couldn’t compare to Vasida’s Dietary Fortification Card, but the mirror beasts of the Three Thousand Mirror Ruins World were far more powerful than Valen’s magical beasts.

Though her physical capabilities were already very strong, they still fell short of what was needed to fight a seven-star mirror beast head-on — especially when the opponent was a poison-attribute mirror beast.

Her martial skill level was also far from sufficient to bridge that gap.

Without suppressing her physical strength, relying on martial techniques alone, Mo Lan could at most fight a five-star mirror beast to a draw.

With her physical strength suppressed to the level of a body-tempering genius middle schooler in this world, she could at most handle a two-star mirror beast.

    But she still had Magic!

Sensing the intruder, the Phantom Poison Jellyfish lashed out with countless venomous tentacles like bolts of lightning. Mo Lan immediately cast the Witch Magic Water Prison Spell.

Dense water elemental energy spread outward from beneath her feet, transforming into countless tendrils that coiled tightly around the jellyfish’s lethal physical tentacles, briefly restricting its movement.

Immediately after, she used Flash Freeze. The power of extreme cold erupted instantaneously, rapidly freezing the Poison Jellyfish’s main body along with a vast expanse of swamp below it, further restricting its mobility.

The Flash Freeze that could only be used to make ice cubes for cooling off during her Apprentice days — once trained to Fifth Rank proficiency — could instantly freeze over an enormous body of water.

The Phantom Poison Jellyfish let out a silent shriek as a powerful psychic shockwave and virulent toxic mist violently expanded outward.

Mo Lan was already prepared. An incredibly swift and fierce tornado materialized at her side in an instant, like a greedy vortex generating tremendous suction. It swept up every last wisp of the deadly toxic mist that had just begun to spread, drawing it all into the wind without leaving a single trace. She then directed it to blast toward a deserted stretch of deep swamp in the distance, where it was thoroughly dispersed and neutralized.

The instant the toxic mist was cleared, Mo Lan unleashed a Fifth Rank Electric Net.

A massive electric net woven from pure, rampaging lightning energy crackled with a scalp-numbing roar. It crossed the short distance in an instant and descended with pinpoint precision, completely enveloping the Phantom Poison Jellyfish — which was still frozen in place and momentarily rigid after having just discharged its abilities.

    BZZZZZT——!!!

High-voltage current rampaged wildly, piercing through the ice layer and acting directly upon the Phantom Poison Jellyfish’s water-rich, semi-transparent body.

Lightning coursed madly through the jellyfish’s body, dealing devastating damage. Purple light flickered violently amid the electrical discharge, flashing on and off erratically, accompanied by a bizarre smell of burning protein that permeated the air.

A combination of spells, executed with fluid grace, each element perfectly chaining into the next. When the light faded, that powerful seven-star mirror beast that had lorded over the Corrupted Swamp Spring — the one that countless Mirror Explorers dared not face — had already lost all signs of life before it could even unleash its full might.

Mo Lan reached out and deposited the Phantom Poison Jellyfish’s entire corpse, beast core included, into the Book of Cards as card-crafting material.

Then she turned her gaze toward the Corrupted Swamp Spring that was still gushing away.

She wrapped herself entirely in a water shield and dove into the Corrupted Swamp Spring, where she found a purple, vortex-shaped stone.

Her powerful psychic power, precise as the finest surgical scalpel, probed deep into the spring eye to perform the final and most dangerous collection task — extracting the “spring eye.”

The spring eye was the most fundamental essence of an Elemental Gushing Spring.

The extraction process required extremely high skill and exquisitely precise control over energy. The slightest misstep could trigger an energy backlash or even cause the spring eye to explode.

Fifteen minutes later, accompanied by a faint hum, the toxic elemental spring eye was successfully extracted and promptly handed over to the Book of Cards as card-crafting material.

To prevent the world consciousness from noticing that she was harvesting this world’s resources on a massive scale, she crafted a Toxic Elemental Spring Eye card, materialized it, and placed it back where the original had been.

    It was done.

The Phantom Poison Jellyfish’s condensed core. The heart of the Corrupted Swamp Spring’s eye.

With this, every mirror beast, plant, mineral, and material listed in the 《 Complete Illustrated Guide to Gushing Spring Forest Sea Magical Materials 》had been fully collected!

An indescribable sense of accomplishment and exhaustion washed over her simultaneously. Only then did she have the presence of mind to calculate the time.

“It’s already… been over a year?” She was momentarily stunned, then her expression shifted. “This is bad! The national Mirror Explorer Academy entrance exam!”

When she had entered the Gushing Spring Forest Sea, there was still plenty of time before the exam. But her immersive exploration had made her nearly lose all track of time, and before she knew it, over a year had slipped by!

“I have to get out immediately!”

With no time to rest, Mo Lan hurriedly stowed the Book of Cards, determined her bearings, and teleported away from the area.

In what seemed like the blink of an eye, the scenery around her underwent a dramatic transformation.

The dense, deathly toxic miasma was replaced by fresh air brimming with abundant life force and natural energy.

Before her eyes was no longer a murky swamp, but a dreamlike vista.

The branches, leaves, and even the hanging vines of the trees appeared as though they had been carved from the purest Crystal. Under the faint light filtering through gaps in the canopy, they refracted kaleidoscopic, mesmerizing halos of color. Delicate sounds drifted through the air, crisp and clear like the chiming of wind bells — the sound of energy naturally flowing through these crystalline branches and leaves.

Only after confirming the surrounding area was safe and devoid of people did Mo Lan dispel the potion’s effects and restore her appearance to match her identity in this world.

After briefly tidying her somewhat worn but still reasonably presentable clothing and taking a deep breath of the pure energy pervading this area, she set off toward the center of this Crystal Radiance Forest — toward the oldest and most enormous crystallized tree.

It was one of the fixed exits of the Gushing Spring Forest Sea mirror space. (End of Chapter)
