Chapter Index

During cosmic travel, worlds whose world consciousness was healthy and strong possessed sturdy dimensional membranes that were difficult to forcibly penetrate. But invitation letters—especially realm-friend invitations—could provide a legitimate ticket of entry.

However, the Mo-Zhi-Ka-Sen Familiar Boarding House had recently tallied an overwhelmingly large number of invitation letters, many with exploration deadlines. There was no way she could explore them all on her own.

And the Management Card—which allowed new resource samples to be uploaded and converted into cards, granting a share of card sales profits—was something she had specifically created to cede benefits to witches. She was unwilling to open the Management Card to all Explorers.

Fortunately, the Witch race itself already possessed a sizable and highly promising community of Explorers.

Mo Lan didn’t hesitate. She contacted the Witch Council and shared her idea.

She planned to establish an “Otherworld Invitation Letter Acquisition Center” directly at the Mo-Zhi-Ka-Sen Familiar Boarding House or somewhere else in Central Camp, dedicated to purchasing world invitation letters from worlds that no longer actively posted world quests through the Well of the Sky.

These acquired invitation letters would then be organized and evaluated, forming an internal Witch “Otherworld Invitation Letter Collection Library.”

Any witch Explorer, as long as she passed the strength evaluation and possessed the ability to explore the corresponding otherworld, could apply to the Witch Council to use invitation letters from this collection library. She would then travel to the corresponding otherworld on an officially authorized exploration mission, using her own Management Card to systematically collect that world’s various magical materials for card production.

If a witch Explorer’s newly produced cards met a certain standard in both quantity and quality, not only would the cost of using the invitation letter be completely waived, but she would also receive a higher percentage of sales commission as a reward when that world’s card series went on sale.

Mo Lan knew full well that she had neither the time nor the energy to personally manage this soon-to-be-established Acquisition Center and Collection Library. Therefore, she planned to enter into a deep collaboration with the Witch Council, having the Council assign dedicated personnel to handle daily operations and management.

To support this long-term management expenditure and give back to the community, she generously proposed allocating a fixed one percent of all otherworld card series sales profits directly to the Witch Council.

These funds would be earmarked for the center’s management. Any surplus would go entirely into the Council’s public treasury as reserve funds for nurturing the next generation of young witches.

This way, witch Explorers would gain exploration opportunities that were more profitable and safer than Well of the Sky quests, allowing their strength to grow more rapidly.

Mo Lan’s Book of Cards would receive a steady stream of new materials, enriching the card library faster and increasing card sales revenue.

The Witch Council would gain an entirely new, sustainable source of income, alleviating the financial pressure on the public treasury.

Those invitation letter sellers who hoped to find a stable purchasing channel for magical materials would also get their wish.

And all Explorers throughout Valen would benefit from the abundant resources that otherworld cards could provide.

This was absolutely a win-win-win endeavor that benefited everyone involved.

At the Witch Title Evaluation Office of the Witch Council, Tiffany—who also served as the part-time liaison between the Council and Mo Lan—took one look at the “Otherworld Invitation Letter Acquisition Center and Witch Invitation Letter Collection Library Establishment Proposal” Mo Lan had sent over, and immediately knew: the Sorceress of Wealth was at it again, showering everyone with riches!

This sort of thing had been happening regularly ever since Mo Lan graduated and began opening up her Manifested Gift on a large scale.

Everyone in the Council had long grown accustomed to the pleasant surprises Mo Lan brought from time to time.

Tiffany, seasoned professional that she was, immediately forwarded the proposal to the right people.

First was Traci. She was the Sorceress currently stationed in Valen—both a protector of the Wilds and the founder of Starault Hall, as well as the leader of senior, high-ranking witch Explorers. Major decisions involving the future direction of the entire witch Explorer community had to go through her first.

Next was Amisha. She was not only the Headmistress of the Witch Academy but also oversaw the handling of witch heritage, the “Witch Maternity Subsidies,” and the distribution of various welfare benefits.

The public treasury’s assets primarily flowed toward witch maternity support and young witch education, all coordinated by her.

In recent years, as the number of young witches had grown, the public treasury had long been stretched thin. Not long ago, Mo Lan had just provided a round of resource support, and now she was embarking on yet another bout of “wealth distribution.” Since this concerned Council income, Amisha absolutely had to be informed and involved.

Finally, there was Lan Qiqi. She was the acting director and current hands-on manager of the Otherworld Archives, and also coordinated the management of all Council-owned enterprises at Explorer’s Camp.

The future daily management and personnel allocation of the Acquisition Center and Collection Library would all fall on her shoulders.

After sending the proposal to Tiffany, Mo Lan set out for the Otherworld Archives with an easy mind.

Her Mana had reached Sixth Rank. It was time to formally join Starault Hall.

But the moment she stepped through the Archives’ front door, she heard a familiar “goo-choo goo-choo” sound.

She looked up to see Lan Qiqi, the double-eared black cat, crouching nearby, her tail idly swatting the floor with a hint of impatience.

Not far away, Senior Traci, Headmistress Amisha, and Lady Tiffany were leisurely sipping tea.

Just like her very first visit to the Otherworld Archives, she had been teleported straight into Lan Qiqi’s domain.

Three witches and one cat—all eyes turned in unison to Mo Lan as she materialized.

Mo Lan blinked, a trace of bewilderment and surprise in her eyes. “Why are you all here?”

Headmistress Amisha rapped her knuckles against the freshly transcribed copy of the proposal on the table, her tone teasing. “Our ‘Sorceress of Wealth’ waves her hand and money flies out to advance the community’s development once again—how could we not rush over to have a proper discussion?”

Senior Traci let a faint smile cross her face and chimed in, “After reading your proposal, I realized invitation letters could actually be used this way! Thanks to you, my idle collection can finally be put to good use.”

“Moira, we only just arrived ourselves—we were just waiting for you!” Tiffany added with a smile.

At that moment, Lan Qiqi elegantly licked her paw and tilted her chin upward.

“You busy-bee witches—I understand the situation and can handle it just fine. But,” she drew out the word, her golden pupils sweeping across everyone present, “I strongly demand a raise! Otherwise, I’m going on strike!”

    Mo Lan: “…”

After Tiffany quietly filled her in, Mo Lan finally learned that Lan Qiqi juggled multiple roles.

Receiving newly advanced witch Explorers and managing Starault Hall admissions were only two of her jobs. The future daily operations of the “Invitation Letter Center and Collection Library” would obviously fall on her shoulders as well.

With her workload about to increase yet again, demanding a raise seemed… perfectly reasonable.

After receiving an affirmative answer, Lan Qiqi immediately demonstrated her well-worth-the-investment professional caliber.

Mo Lan merely enjoyed a leisurely cup of tea with Headmistress Amisha and Senior Traci, occasionally answering a few simple questions about the plan’s details.

And Lan Qiqi had already delegated and arranged every task—her efficiency was nothing short of astonishing.
