Chapter Index

Time flew by swiftly amid efficient study. It wasn’t until the afternoon before the Starault Hall centennial gathering that Mo Lan reluctantly set down the unfinished Knowledge Card in her hands.

There were still so many interesting things she hadn’t had time to study and research. She could only set them aside for now and continue after the gathering ended.

She adjusted her study’s time flow back to normal speed, stood up, and stretched. Having studied multiple blood fusion spells and fused the blood of various magical races, her increasingly powerful body brimmed with vitality. Sensing the vast new knowledge filling her mind, the corners of her lips curled into a satisfied arc.

After tidying up briefly, Mo Lan retrieved her Communication Card and opened the Starault Hall group chat that Senior Traci had created several months ago—one that remained silent most of the time.

    【Group Chat “Starault Hall”】

The first thing that caught her eye was a pinned announcement:

【(Pinned) Announcement: This centennial gathering will be held in the “Witch Academy Semi-Plane.” A directional teleportation channel will open promptly at dawn on the day of the gathering. All members, please return to the Valen world in time so as not to miss it. —Traci】

Mo Lan’s gaze swept downward, and she was immediately drawn to several of the latest messages. A knowing smile spread across her face, happy for them:

【Traci: Welcome the hundredth member of Starault Hall—Lilith!】(18 hours ago)

【Traci: Welcome the hundred and first member of Starault Hall—Sylph!】(15 hours ago)

【Traci: Welcome the hundred and second member of Starault Hall—Vasida!】(10 hours ago)

“These girls… they really moved fast.” Mo Lan chuckled softly.

It seemed that over the past few days, Lilith, Sylph, and Vasida hadn’t been idle either. They had all successfully broken through the threshold of Sixth Rank and joined Starault Hall.

Mo Lan then opened their exclusive four-person group chat, “Sorceress’s Home,” wanting to see what they had been up to recently.

The messages inside were equally lively:

【Lilith: My total Mana has finally broken through the one billion Mana milestone! Hahaha! Officially Sixth Rank now! My blood fusion spell ‘Radiant Elf Luminous Possession,’ which sat unsold in Valen for so many years, actually became a hit on White Crystal Star! The moment I listed it, basically everyone who had enough permanent magical energy bought it. It’s true—there’s no such thing as a useless spell, only the wrong occasion for it!】

【Sylph: Congratulations! The White Crystal People really have absolutely zero resistance to anything involving “light.” The mutant luminescent plant Seed Cards and related luminescent plant Hybrid Magic I listed are also selling quite well on White Crystal Star. The Mana I’ve accumulated should be enough to support me reaching Sixth Rank soon too. But in other worlds, my Hybrid Magic sales are… honestly rather dismal. How are things on your end? @Vasida @Lilith】

【Lilith: Pretty much the same for me. My best seller is “Eternal Youth,” but unfortunately very few can afford it. It’s probably because those worlds only recently transformed into magical worlds, so their casters don’t have much freely available magical energy. Once their magical civilizations develop a bit more, things should improve.】

【Vasida: The situation on my end is actually the opposite! My Dietary Fortification Cards, Trash Can Cards, and dietary recovery magic are selling really well in several cultivation-type worlds! But what’s strange is that the casters in Verdant Depths Realm, after buying the Trash Can Cards, are specifically throwing corpses into them! The energy content is high, sure, but my Devouring Stomach is getting nauseous from eating all that!】

    ……

Reading this, Mo Lan couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

Verdant Depths Realm was inherently aligned toward the evil faction, riddled with rival clans, and the fighting among casters was extraordinarily fierce. Killing for treasures and eliminating dissidents were everyday occurrences.

Vasida’s Trash Can Card, originally designed for disposing of household waste, had probably been turned by those ruthless casters into the perfect tool for disposing of bodies without a trace!

After all, once the card was opened, you just tossed the body into the trash can and the Devouring Stomach digested it immediately. It was indeed quick, convenient, and left no loose ends.

“Every world really does have its own ‘essential needs,’ doesn’t it!” Mo Lan shook her head with a wry laugh.

After reading through all the unread messages, she typed into the group chat:

【Moira: Congratulations on all reaching Sixth Rank! Tomorrow we can go to the Starault Hall gathering together!】

【Vasida: It’s been a whole week and you finally speak up!】

【Moira: I’ve been researching the cards you all listed recently. I adjusted the time flow in my study, so my messages are a bit delayed.】

【Lilith: Now I know how your magic level advanced so fast! Even when I’m studying blood samples, I’m not as absorbed as you!】

【Sylph: Do you all know where exactly in the Witch Academy Semi-Plane the gathering will be held?】

【Moira: It should be in the area beyond the outer region, where the Witch’s homes of the three Sorceress seniors—Traci, Carmela, and Anita—are located, right?】

    【Sylph: How did you know!】

【Moira: The core region, Inner Region, and outer region of the Witch Academy Semi-Plane are all activity areas for young witches. We’ve all been there before, and they don’t seem like places where a gathering could be held. So it must be where the Sorceress seniors live! Starault Hall was founded by the Sorceress seniors in the first place.】

【Sylph: Exactly! Beyond the outer region, there’s actually a small lake, and the three Sorceress seniors’ Witch’s homes are built around it. This gathering will be held on the grassy area by the lake.】

【Vasida: Sylph, how do you know all this in such detail?】

【Sylph: Ahem, I’m currently following Madam Amisha around, learning about the Headmistress’s duties and how to use the Headmistress’s Golden Chalice… Madam Amisha’s main body has been staying at Senior Traci’s home these past few days…】

【Lilith: !!! You’re really going to become the Headmistress of the Witch Academy?】

【Sylph: Mm… I should officially assume the position after the gathering. Madam Amisha can’t wait to leave already.】

    【Moira: Congratulations, Headmistress Sylph!】

【Lilith: I’ve stockpiled quite a few blood samples, and I probably won’t be leaving Valen for the next few years. Does that mean I can plant a Witch Tree and hatch little witches? That way, when my child goes to the Academy, I can tell her that the Headmistress is my good friend~】

【Vasida: Great idea! I’m going to look into the Hybrid Magic for planting Witch Trees too! When my child starts school, I absolutely must go watch her eat Breadfruit. Sylph, you have to open a teleportation channel for me when the time comes!】

    【Sylph: Help, I’m already getting nervous!】

【Moira: You’re the Hybrid Sorceress—all Second-Generation Sorceresses were born thanks to your Sorceress Magic. In a sense, they should all call you mother! Relax, you’re absolutely going to be a wonderful Headmistress!】
