Chapter Index

Viola pointed at a hemispherical device not far away.

“Very few nature Elves have come to Quelariel before. Our association only has Elves from three branches—Astral, Solar Corona, and Deep Shadow. The nature Elf part has always been our biggest gap.”

“Now that you’ve joined, we can finally fill that void.”

The other members nodded in agreement. This was the true reason they had been so eager about Mo Lan.

Celestian picked up the conversation and explained to Mo Lan, “That ‘Resonance Device’ is one of our association’s most precious assets. It was built by our predecessors long ago. While maximally protecting the sharer’s privacy, it assists the sharer in transmitting a segment of inherited memory or cultivation insight to another member, forming knowledge fragments in the recipient’s mind that are unforgettable, similar to inherited memories.”

“However, unlike inherited memories, these knowledge fragments cannot be sealed away and unlocked gradually as one’s strength and psychic power increase. So only a small portion can be shared at a time. Once the recipient reaches their mental tolerance limit, the Resonance Device will automatically disconnect. Only after digesting that portion of knowledge can they continue receiving more.”

“Moira, since you just joined today, you can start by receiving some of the knowledge fragments we’ve shared, to get an understanding of the magical philosophies of other branches.”

“Once you’ve received inherited memories up to your limit, I’ll teach you how to use the Resonance Device to share the nature Elf inherited memories.”

“Don’t worry—for the sharer, using the Resonance Device carries no burden whatsoever. In fact, it even trains your psychic power. The Resonance Device provides all the energy support needed.”

The moment she heard she could obtain inherited memories from other Elf branches, Mo Lan nodded without hesitation.

As for sharing the nature Elf inherited memories, she had absolutely no issue with that.

They were all Elves. It was the differences in magical philosophy that had caused them to develop into different branches in the first place.

“I appreciate it, everyone. I’m looking forward to this!”

Alfred stood up and walked toward the Resonance Device. “I’ll go first and share the Solar Corona Elf inherited memories with you!”

Celestian gestured for Mo Lan to sit down on a seat beside the Resonance Device that had been specially prepared for recipients, cushioned with soft padding.

“Relax your mind. Don’t resist the Resonance Device’s energy.”

“It will act like the gentlest of guides, condensing knowledge fragments into memory shards and sending them into your mental sea, for you to ‘receive’ and ‘store’ on your own.”

Celestian adjusted several Crystal knobs on the side of the Resonance Device while giving quiet instructions. “The first time, you might experience some dizziness similar to when inherited memories are first unlocked. Don’t worry—that’s perfectly normal. If your psychic power can’t handle it, the Resonance Device will disconnect immediately.”

Alfred also walked to the other side of the Resonance Device and sat down.

“Beginning now.” With Celestian’s voice, the center of the Resonance Device projected a soft beam of light, enveloping both Alfred and Mo Lan within it.

Mo Lan did as instructed, relaxing and closing her eyes.

She felt a gentle energy beginning to make contact with her through the Resonance Device.

Mo Lan set up defenses around her mental sea, then calmly guided the energy inward.

The moment the energy flow made contact with her psychic power, it naturally condensed into clear, stable memory shards.

Mo Lan’s psychic power gently touched the first memory shard, and instantly, a vast wealth of general knowledge about the Solar Corona Elves—their historical lineage, cultural customs, social structure, artistic preferences—unfolded like a scroll across her mental sea.

Then came the second shard, the third… Overviews, characteristics, and foundational philosophies of the extraordinary professions that Solar Corona Elves excelled in—Radiant Clerics, Paladins of Light, mages of light—along with low-tier Magic spell models and casting insights for those professions, were successively condensed into memory shards and stored in her mind.

Mo Lan marveled at the ingenious design of the Resonance Device—it could actually replicate inherited memories. At the same time, drawn in by the Solar Corona Elf heritage, she proactively used her own psychic power to accelerate the guidance, absorption, and conversion of the incoming energy flow, causing memory shards to condense and settle at several times the normal speed!

On the other end of the Resonance Device, Alfred immediately noticed something unusual.

Based on past experience, the transmission of inherited memories should flow like a babbling brook—steady and continuous.

But right now, he felt his inherited memories being pulled by a gentle yet extraordinarily powerful suction force, the flow speed increasing sharply!

“It seems Moira’s psychic power level is quite impressive too! No wonder she can juggle three professions simultaneously.”

Alfred was momentarily surprised, then it dawned on him.

Without sufficiently powerful psychic power, it would be utterly impossible to maintain multiple professions at once.

For Mo Lan to have trained three professions to the high tier simultaneously, exceptional psychic power was only natural.

He didn’t resist. Instead, he adjusted his output rhythm to match, allowing the memory flow to stream even more smoothly.

The shared content transitioned smoothly from the initial foundational, low-tier heritage to mid-tier heritage.

However, as time passed, Alfred gradually sensed that something was off.

The mid-tier content had long since been fully shared. Under normal circumstances, after absorbing so much knowledge from an entirely new system, the recipient’s psychic power would begin to feel strained, and the Resonance Device would respond to the recipient’s mental state by gradually slowing the sharing speed until it stopped.

But right now, the sharing speed hadn’t slowed at all. It had even begun transmitting high-tier heritage.

And the Resonance Device… showed no sign whatsoever of stopping.

“She can receive this much inherited memory in a single session?” Alfred’s surprise turned to shock.

He had lived through long ages and witnessed his share of geniuses, but he had never seen an Elf who could receive this many inherited memories in one sitting! Even Astral Elves, who focused specifically on psychic power cultivation, absolutely could not achieve this!

The onlookers had also noticed the anomaly long ago.

“Why hasn’t it stopped yet?” Tobias couldn’t help but exclaim in a low voice. “This has been going on way too long!”

Normally, even the high-tier members among them would finish receiving shared inherited memories in a minute or two.

The mid-tier members like themselves could barely last a minute before feeling overwhelmed.

“Moira, she… doesn’t seem to be experiencing any discomfort at all.” Viola stared at Mo Lan, whose expression remained calm within the beam of light, her tone carrying a note of surprise. “She probably hasn’t reached her reception limit yet…”

“As expected of a genius who has cultivated three professions to the high tier…” Celestian’s eyes shone with wonder.

“Look! The Resonance Device’s energy stone! The energy gauge is dropping rapidly!” Tobias said.

“How is that possible?! Instructor Celestian just replaced it with a brand-new energy stone this morning!” said another mid-tier Astral Elf.

The energy stone was formed from the purest condensed astral force, found only around the Starlight Ancient Tree. Under normal circumstances, one stone was enough to last them several gatherings.
