Chapter 999 – Earth’s Guidance
by spirapiraBefore two enthusiastic Elf mothers who had clearly received Mo Lan’s “true teachings,” any resistance seemed futile.
Mo Lan had merely been sneaking candid shots, but their Elf mothers could actually make them pose!

Shutter sounds rang out one after another. The Elves who hadn’t yet dispersed from the area burst into good-natured laughter at the sight.
Chieftain Matil watched from a distance, shaking her head, though her eyes were full of warmth and indulgence. She, too, had a magical painting that Mo Lan had given her — in it, she and Mo Lan stood side by side with the Tree of Life behind them.
Mo Lan had just returned to her personal tent when, as if sensing something, she glanced into the Well of the Sky, and the corners of her lips curved into a pleased arc.
She had put in a great deal of effort to teach Polly and Celine how to make the magical camera and how to create magical paintings!
The ship of friendship sometimes needed a few fun “ballast stones,” after all.
Just thinking about the expressions Vasida and Traci must be wearing right now made her burst with glee.
She was about to turn back to the mirror space to work on her subsequent cosmic travel plans when a sudden, piercing headache stabbed into her temples like an ice pick, forcing an involuntary groan from her lips.
The sensation vanished in an instant, leaving only a faint dizziness to remind her that it hadn’t been her imagination.
Mo Lan’s guard went up immediately.
Something was wrong. Whether judging by her magic level or her Mana rank, she was a genuine Tenth Rank Sorceress. At her level, the body shouldn’t experience discomfort without cause.
If not for the fact that no one could possibly intrude upon her personal tent and she was absolutely safe, she would have suspected she’d been hit by someone’s psychic attack!
Mo Lan immediately checked her mental sea.
In the mental sea that had been vast and calm, towering waves were now surging, and a small blue-green orb of light was slowly rising from within.
Mo Lan’s heart shook violently. “That’s… Earth?!”
…
“Are you alright?”
“Civilization has gone astray, and this catastrophe will not spare even the world itself.
I’m truly sorry for not being able to let you children grow up safely on a vibrant land.
Fortunately, the power I have left is enough to send you children with strong souls away.
Go, Mo Lan! Carry the brilliance of Earth’s civilization, carry my final blessings, and journey to a new world!”
“Will I ever be able to come back? Is there a way to save you?”
“I’m giving you this. If the day comes when you possess the power to save the world, it will guide you to find me on another timeline.
But remember — do not force it.
I poured the world’s power into sending you all away, not so you would exhaust your lives running back for your homeland.
As long as civilization endures, I too shall not perish.
Sleep now, my child. When you wake, you will greet a new life!”
Even across the distance of countless worlds and the passage of long years, she still remembered Mother Earth’s final words with perfect clarity.
“So this is what Mother Earth left for me?” “I finally have the power to save Earth?”
As the blue-green orb of light emerged from her mental sea, the last of Mo Lan’s dizziness vanished.
She carefully probed the orb with her psychic power. A moment later, her eyes blazed with surprised delight.
It was real!
The blue orb was a beacon left behind by Earth.
With it, she could cross dimensions, accurately locate Earth on another timeline within the boundless universe, and change its fate of destruction!
Mo Lan drew a deep breath, striving to calm her surging heart.
The Earth Beacon could only point her in the right direction, keeping her from getting lost in the complex web of timelines, and allowing her to safely return to her own proper timeline.
Crossing dimensions, traversing time — she would have to pass through a spacetime wormhole.
Only a powerful cosmic travel vessel infused with time-attribute materials could safely pass through a wormhole.
Her Starsea Skiff was sufficient for ordinary cosmic travel, but it wasn’t enough for wormhole traversal.
Every aspect needed further reinforcement!
Fortunately, after so many years of accumulation, the disposable Mana and permanent Mana she had stockpiled had reached an astronomical figure. She could convert them into ordinary Mana crystals and Source Mana crystals at any time, or produce whatever {Material Cards} she needed.
The high Elf secret realm modification magic and Astral Elf magitech she had learned in the Seran world could all be applied to the modification and reinforcement of the Starsea Skiff!
Mo Lan flashed back into the mirror space and began her preparations.
First and foremost, she needed to infuse time-attribute protective materials into the boundary membrane and its outer protective shell.
Time-attribute materials — she remembered that after Senior Anita had recovered, she had uploaded quite a lot of them.
The world where Anita’s physical body had been destroyed and she had converted to an Artifact Spirit was near a spacetime wormhole. Influenced by the wormhole, the power of time was extremely dense there, giving rise to many time-attribute magical materials.
Mo Lan searched the Witch version of the Card Shop. “Found it!”
{Material Card – Eternal Gold Sand}
【Properties: Possesses excellent resistance to the power of time. Can maintain stability amid temporal erosion and spacetime turbulence.】
【Price: 10,000 Gem Coins/mg】
An excellent material, and an equally steep price.
Though its production cost was only a fifth of the selling price, the disposable Mana required to reforge the entire Starsea Skiff’s outer shell with Eternal Gold Sand was no small figure.
The disposable Mana stored in the Book of Cards’ Purple Gemstone shrank by a fifth in one go.
But this was only the beginning. The original spatial leap propulsion system needed to be upgraded into a spacetime leap propulsion system capable of crossing wormholes, and the Mana power supply system also needed to be converted into an energy conversion supply system that could draw energy from the cosmos.
Mo Lan chose Endless Copper and branches of the Starlight Ancient Tree as her primary materials, pushing Spatial Magic, the stellar magic learned from the high Elf heritage memories, and the knowledge of Quelariel’s city-scale magic circles to their absolute limits.
The new spacetime leap propulsion system, paired with the energy conversion supply system, not only leaped faster and saved more time, but could also continuously draw the power of the stars from the cosmos to fuel the Starsea Skiff.
After completing this step, her reserves of disposable Mana had been cut in half.
However, once the modifications were complete, Mo Lan was surprised to discover that the mirror space’s time flow acceleration function now consumed noticeably less energy to use.
The time-attribute materials had enhanced the mirror space’s ability to absorb and convert the power of time.
Upon discovering this, she went ahead and used some additional time-attribute materials to further strengthen the mirror space’s time flow alteration function.
With all preparations complete, Mo Lan used her {Communication Card} to leave messages for her Sorceress and Witch friends, informing them of her destination. Then, unable to contain her eagerness, she ignited the Earth Beacon within her mental sea.
